Is this still for sale?
Any chance you have pics or video of it in action? How was the picture quality and the burn in?
Thanks,
Peter

Re: Arcade operators and meeting player expectations
I had considered pursuing a Dance Maniax for smaller locations that would likely appreciate a larger game like a DDR but lack the space. Worthwhile? That really depends. Where is it going? How long do you plan to keep the machine? Do you enjoy replacing and fixing broken parts on hard to find Japan...

Re: Arcade operators and meeting player expectations
Quick update: Yep, the DDR went in some time ago at the cinema and has been generally well received. Generally stays within the top 5 in earnings at that location, following the cranes and merchandisers (folks really like the UFO Catcher and Stacker!). I'm not certain it'll ever have the following ...

Re: An Event Proposal
Ixnay on the Ever-Fay. Oh no, I heard what happened.... Why? Why? WHY?!?!?!? I can answer that one. Because Ho offered and I paid him money :P While the machine is still a work in progress, it's working a heck of a lot better than it did at Acen. Pictures and even a cool slide show (showing everyth...

Re: ACEN?
No, sorry. I'm not really into that sorta stuff. I ended up spending most of the weekend in the game room or with friends.Fluffyumpkins wrote:So really no one went to hardcore synergy? That's surprising.

Re: ACEN?
Acen was all in all, "just another Acen" so to say. Nothing really new, same problems year to year and really glad I didn't have to pay for my badge. 9 hour Registration lines on Friday...no thank you! Attendance was unofficially 15,800, so another new record for the con. Snagging Ho's Pop'n machine...

Re: ACEN?
All I have to say is "WOW"! That's quite the collection and makes for quite the B-day party. I can see the Indy DDR/Dance community is very much alive and well. That's great to see. And if you need help fixing up the Daytona (or any other games) let me know. I've worked on quite a variety of games o...

Re: ACEN?
Is anyone here going to Acen? Thought I'd ask one last time since we are just days away. It would be cool to meet some of you.

Re: ACEN?
With Acen only a couple weeks away, who here is planning on going? I was hoping to meet some of you if you happen to be there. I know my reply is a bit late, but to answer some of the questions in this thread from a former Acen staffer: 1. This con is very family friendly. The IRT group (security fo...

Re: Supernova 'Conversion Kits' are in Stock
I'd have to say I basically agree with everything you said about DDR and SN. Too many of the hardcore players in my area are into ITG and all the double digit foot ratings. For me, I like a good song first, then a decent step chart. I'd also like to see DDR do more cool Oni courses, especially stuff...

Re: Supernova 'Conversion Kits' are in Stock
First off, welcome to IndyDDR, Aoi-chan. Your repair/maintenance/technical posts on DDR Freak have been consistently informative and insightful. I admit that not a lot of technical discussion goes on here, but I'm glad to have attracted a quality resource like yourself. But to be perfectly honest, ...

Re: Arcade operators and meeting player expectations
The point of token deals is really to attract players to THAT arcade over other arcades. It's just another form of advertising. Obviously that's the reason for token deals and I totally agree with the basic idea. Unfortunately with arcades dying the way they are, expect to see token deals disappear...

Re: Supernova 'Conversion Kits' are in Stock
I would consider it for low $$$ and if it didn't involve anything that would prevent me from going back to 573 without major hardship. The latter seems possible, but the former seems quite unlikely. And even then, it would probably only be used as a stepping stone to SN2 provided I could get on e-a...
