Re: WTB: DDR Extreme Arcade Machine

Alright. I'll check when I get home tonight. How do I know if they have power? Do they have a light that comes on? Will they illuminate if powered as soon as the machine boots?

What should I do if they do/do not work once I check?

Re: WTB: DDR Extreme Arcade Machine

Fixed the sensors and now experiencing a much bigger problem. In the middle of playing a song the entire pad stopped working. Neither side works. Took off the tube connector on the pad side and one of the connectors was disconnected. Plugged it back in and still nothing. Checked the jamma board and ...

Re: WTB: DDR Extreme Arcade Machine

Any idea on a few brand new sensors I put in that worked flawlessly and then suddenly stopped working? There are 3 in total. I checked and they are plugged on fine. L bracket is loose like it should be...

Re: WTB: DDR Extreme Arcade Machine

Yes I started to realize near the end that something was wrong with most of the spacers and screws. I took the L brackets off and cleaned them and the screws, but had a nightmare of a time trying to get the bottom screw of the "triangle" back in place, so I didn't reattach any of those. The 8 sensor...

Re: WTB: DDR Extreme Arcade Machine

Today's Update! Cleaned out the rest of the 1P arrows. Good lord they were disgusting. Took me about 4 hours to be satisfied with them all. Shuffled around some sensors (the new ones I ordered aren't here yet), and the pads work much better. Out of curiosity, is the reason the Channel Beat "Mean Gre...

Re: WTB: DDR Extreme Arcade Machine

Made a lot of progress on the machine today. Cleaned off the cabinet and marquee impeccably, and they look excellent. I noticed when playing a bit on the machine today that the top right corner of the monitor is lightly discolored, I'm assuming from something magnetic. Before I press the degauss but...

Re: WTB: DDR Extreme Arcade Machine

I bought all new stainless steel screws from amazon for the two pads, so I can get rid of the nasty ones. I also got recommendations for sensors and bought 24 of them (one of my friends is giving me 8 new ones he has extra in monday). I opened the front panel and the wires to the button were indeed ...

Re: WTB: DDR Extreme Arcade Machine

The 'L' bracket is the, well, L-shaped bracket that is inside of each arrow on each of the four sides. It rides on three screws + spacers + washers and is what transfers weight from the top of the stage down to the little rubber sensors along each side. You will surely need a "stubby" screwdriver t...

Re: WTB: DDR Extreme Arcade Machine

Also, I'm not the least bit familiar with soldiering, but I have friends who are. Is it a very risky process? If so, I can live with typing in the unlock codes each time, I do not want to risk ruining the machine. The cabinet condition seems to be VERY good, asides from the 2P right button not worki...

Re: WTB: DDR Extreme Arcade Machine

Oh, the "corner brackets". Those are direct metal to metal contact and could rust, I guess. The bracket itself should be stainless steel, but I don't think the stage structure it screws into is. The good news is that, since the bracket is stainless, it shouldn't have much more than surface corrosio...

Re: WTB: DDR Extreme Arcade Machine

Actually, now that I look closer at that picture, mine also has some sort of plastic piece in the middle of everything. I'll take some pictures to show you all what I mean.

Re: WTB: DDR Extreme Arcade Machine

Plugged the machine up and it works for the most part, few issues. First, the aforementioned questions. 1) OK, I went out and bought a standard power cord because it did not come with one. This works fine. 2) No, I mean how each arrow has four corner brackets with two screws each. The brackets thems...

Re: WTB: DDR Extreme Arcade Machine

Primary issues/questions 1) Does the machine just connect to the wall via a simple standard power cord? 2) Some of the screws that hold the arrow brackets to the pad have rusted and fused to the steel bracket inside the pad. That makes the arrow bracket bulge up and makes the arrow really, really cl...

Yeah that's what I used. I'll try them tonight and post pictures once I get everything cleaned and hooked up. Thanks as always for the help, guys.

Re: WTB: DDR Extreme Arcade Machine

I found some at Lowe's that I'm 99% sure are equivalent, but they only had about 15 of each size and they can in 2 packs that were nuts expensive. I bought them to see if they work. Also bought a screw extractor because some of these screws are awful. Couldn't find a 20mm socket wrench for the bar b...
