Re: Anybody using Google's new Chrome browser?
I basically agree with Adam, Chrome isn't robust enough for me to want to use it as a replacement browser at this time, but it does innovate in a lot of ways I wish Firefox would. The "tabs in separate processes" feature is nice enough I went out to see if anyone was working on an extension to do th...

Best discoveries of 2004
Every day we discover new things. New music, books, television, hobbies, people, and places. What are some of your best discoveries of 2004? Maybe a person who is now your close friend. Maybe a technique for playing poker. Maybe an artist or sports team. Don't just post about things you like. Tell u...

Re: Ahem
It is a new season, new start. Take it for what you will. :) You're right, it's a deal. Let bygones be bygones and let Wesside start fresh this season. I realized tonight hanging out with the crew at Rascals that I miss a lot of the Wesside people and atmosphere, and that's not something to give up...

The first thing I would try is to download and run Adaware . It should help clear up any extra ads and stuff. But in all honesty, what the computer probably really needs is a reformat. What that means is you drag all your important data (email, bookmarks, documents, etc.) off onto an external storag...

Does Dewaine still work there? I have personally heard him speak very poorly of DDR players. I didn't realize Blanket worked there now, I guess I had heard that but it didn't really 'click'. I don't mean any offense to her, but I feel the business has represented itself very badly to us in the past ...

fpd is correct, and if the server is a LAN server then even that restriction is removed. I have had ten people playing CS:S from one account all on the same LAN. Also "backup game data files" is the way to go for installing on all the machines, just share out the directory containing the backed up f...

If for no other reason, 'Random Thoughts' is a good thing because it keeps a lot f the wacky randomness out of other threads. It gives people a place to let off some steam if they just want to post someting completely off the wall. In fact, it's really just like any other thread. I for one, don't re...

You make some good points, but I still have concerns. What if a person wants to express an opinion that they know is very unpopular? Should they be afraid people will downvote them just because their opinion is in the minority? I feel this squelches creativity and discussion, when a person knows the...
