Well, if you want to do this the fun way, http://www.gamesx.com/controldata/psxcont/psxcont.htm is about all the technical docs you would need to build a PSX controller from scratch (save the protocol specs for some of the newer dualshock types). If you want it, I have some 8051 code to bit-bang the...

As far as HD tuners go, there's apparently one called like Air2PC that has the advantage of being supported in both Windows and Linux (which is good if you like MythTV, because that doesn't run on Windows and seems to blow Windows Media Center out of the water). I have a Hauppage WinTV Go for my SD ...

Ho fixed it a week ago, and then we (me and Ho) re-fixed it (should be permanent this time with a new CD drive) on Saturday. I'm not sure what you mean by stops playing if you fail in the middle of a song. I thought 4th+ always had auto-fail turned on. Anyway, that would be an option in operator mod...

Unfortunatley the USPTO's website is horrifically broken (like many government websites). However, based on some of the abstracts, it would seem that many 3rd party DDR controllers as well as Pump would violate some of those patents. Either said devices are licensed or they are in violation of the p...

Unless Konami has a patent on this particular style of dance simulation (4 directional arrows oriented in compass directions, so as not to apply to other games like Pump which has legal US versions still being made and marketed), there's nothing wrong with ITG, assuming they didn't steal any artwork...

Minor update: Previously, only users who had been registered for 14 days and had made a minimum of 25 posts could rate. This effectively limited rating to users of Standard and higher. Now, only 10 posts and 7 days are required to rate, allowing Light users to rate posts. Light users have limited op...

Heh, have I told you about my MythTV setup? I've actually got a system hooked up to the DLP right now via DVI. Driving it at its native 1280x720p@60Hz. It looks damn nice. Unfortunately, I don't have my server at home right now (I'll bring it home at the beginning of the summer), so I can't actually...

Why not make it so only Admins can rate? That would be the only way to keep people from abusing the system. 'Because, in my humble opinion, IndyDDR isn't run like that. The little man has just as much sway as Ho or MonMotha. Sure, a few people may take advantage of this glorious new ratings system,...

Since it's late, I'm not going to immediately take the time to investigate all this, but here's a few guidelines: 1) Try to look for positives, rather than negatives 1a) Posts that flame are valid for negatives 1b) Posts that just don't add anything to discussion, but aren't really bad overall shoul...
