Re: soft mat preservation

Wow neither of you took the time to check the link to see the pads he bought. They are thick foam pads, how is he supposed to "staple it to a board" or do a similar mod? Just such worthless posts making you equally worthless people. You should feel really, really bad. You could probably learn a thi...

Re: soft mat preservation

I wouldn't say i'm an expert but i did own the soft mats (1st generation ones back in 2000). try to use them on hard surfaces and stick them down. Using them on carpet, i found you slip more and you tend to split the layers of the mat. I also found, when you fold the mat, it does affect the play are...

Re: Clearing misconceptions about Australia/America

Do they eat a lot of chicken wings in Australia? In my opinion, Australians prefer boneless meats such as steaks, lamb chops and Chicken boobs. Chicken wings, although popular, i wounldn't say we eat a lot of. Lamb and beef are our primary meats, especially our lamb cutlets. We also have lots of pi...

Re: Clearing misconceptions about Australia/America

You guys are hilarious ! the only comment i'd like to make, is that metric is better than imperial. You know sooner or later, you will be adopting the metric system... My personal opinion is that the imperial system was used because you could use common items to give reference to, such as foot, usin...

Re: Clearing misconceptions about Australia/America

Does every american own a gun? I know better but there is a sterotype about americans that they think they are the superior nation of the world. I do agree, that the US position of the world is high and has done great things in terms of protection of other nations. I find though, that you lack the h...

Re: Clearing misconceptions about Australia/America

is Australia's relationship with censorship. Oh BABY, earlier this year or late last, the goverment just passed that Australia can now have R 18+ games!!!! Winner! I have to say, we have heavy censorship rules but in the end we still receive the same products and games/movies as others. There is on...

Re: Clearing misconceptions about Australia/America

1. Have you ever been to the USandA? If so, where? No but I am planning to ocme in the near future. Propbably NY and all the touristy things that come along with it. I doubt I’d be visiting Indiana but if I do, then I’ll be sure to holla! 2. Can I buy your coveted beer outside of Australia? The loc...

Clearing misconceptions about Australia/America

In the Meet&Greet, i think Fluffy mentioned to make a topic to entertain questions and common misconceptions about Austrlaia. It is well known that the US has sterotyped Australia with Crocodile Dundee and Steve Irwin, the Croc hunter. We are not all rednecks with that heavy aussie accent. You reall...

Re: Recommendations on must see/do things in JAPAN (+gen info)

Thanks for the tips. I'll be printing this out for future reference. It appears that the JR pass would defintely be the smart choice although i am still iffy about the language barrier and non JR lines. I doubt i have time to visit Okinawa (although Mr. Miyagi from the Karate Kid said he was there, ...

Re: Recommendations on must see/do things in JAPAN (+gen info)

I knew it was a good idea to post in here! Thanks Brian for the airbnb.com(.au) site. Apparently you are revered here as a GOD and i would like to indulge in your words of wisdom. I've already flagged a place for $81(aud), entire apartment. I think my partner will enjoy the amusement parks around th...

Re: Recommendations on must see/do things in JAPAN (+gen info)

I was put off pachinko machines as apparently it's illegal to gamble in Japan and the way they get around do it is that you only win "tokens" in which you have to redeem outside of the parlour. I'm not too sure if i can find the redemption places although they should literally be next door (unrelate...

Recommendations on must see/do things in JAPAN (+gen info)

I've been doing some research on Japan and planning to go in early April 2014 and leave before golden week. That is approximately 3-4 weeks in Japan. There is just so many things to see and do in Japan which the 3-4 weeks will not be enough to explore. I'm interested if any INDYDDRers can recommend ...
