yeah, i need a lot more than just bpm. I need the positions of the beats of the songs, in seconds from the start of the song. I can then use these positions to generate notes. As long as the BPM is constant and correctly calculated, then all you need is that and the initial offset to find the offse...

Hey everyone, my long-delayed plans for creating a music/rhythm-based game are finally being realized. I've changed my mind about 20 times and finally settled on a design. Tentatively called Trance Port, the game has the somewhat unusual feature that it can be played without any graphics whatsoever....

There's even a cell phone version --- I saw that it was available on my phone the last time I looked for new games. And no, even a GH mega-fan like me couldn't stoop low enough to buy the dinky cell-phone version. Although I have to admit that I'll probably buy the DS version for kicks...

This is mainly notable because of the strange peripheral that plugs in to the DS to simulate the fret buttons. Weird.
