The sword of Truth Series by Terry Goodkind. If you like the Lord of the Rings series, read the entire set of those. I think there's 10 or 11 of them so far, with 2 more to come. :O

There are 11 Sword of Truth novels, with one more to go. The first one is called Wizard's First Rule.. yes, it is about magic, to an extent, but it's really more about the trials of men. I read the latest book, Phantom, in one day.. it was really good.

LoL, I'm listening to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest on my iPod while I work on the line at GM. It's kind of boring, but I think I also can't really get a full appreciation when I have to sometimes stop paying attention to it for a little chunk of time.

Okay, I wasn't going to get enmired in this discussion, but I do have to say that if you're going to read Schrodinger's Cat Trilogy, you must first read the Illuminatus! Trilogy. I thought Illuminatus! was pretty good, and Schrodinger's Cat was sort of... meh.
