Re: Merk answers your intraweb questions.
Well, no. For one, why would I want to play Daigo in anything? Sure he's a good Street Fighter player but I'm guessing he's just another dude in any other game. I'll obviously lose to him in any fighting game. I can probably beat him in any music game so where would the fun / pride in that be?
I like that picture you posted in the EVO thread though. Mr. Ortiz is quite the borderline-transgendered effeminate hipster.

If you have to ask, the answer is yes.
Re: Merk answers your intraweb questions.
Chad I'm just trying to make conversation and give Merk something to post about! I know I'm not a hipster and that labeling people, especially one so overused as "hipster," is a very hipster thing to do in the first place!Fluffyumpkins wrote:If you have to ask, the answer is yes.
You are a dipster.

What song appeared in the most Bemani games. This includes juBeat, para para, and all that jazz.

Definitely The Least 100sec. If you wanna throw CS releases into the mix then The Least 100sec wins hands down.Fluffyumpkins wrote:What song appeared in the most Bemani games. This includes juBeat, para para, and all that jazz.

The second most song appearances is probably a better question, I'm guessing it's V.
Because nothing is normal. Normality is a human construct to help us make sense of generalities and shit.why is everything so weird
I don't have sound at work but I'm guessing yes, it does. But one song does not a hipster make, you have to wear the fedora, have the glasses, wear the flannel, not bathe, and have mulatto friends to fully be a hipster.

It doesn't suck, you're just not playing the game right which is fine, not many people do. I certainly don't.
I'm trying to help you. It's like when people call me fat. They're playfully ribbing me but at the same time they're saying "Hey, fatty. You're fat. Lose some weight." which is really great advice.

If I had three randoms, how many of them will be a good random?

Re: Merk answers your intraweb questions.
You have an expected value of 1.5 good randoms assuming that a good random and a bad random have an equal chance of happening.ImuyumI wrote:If I had three randoms, how many of them will be a good random?
Basically, you take the probability of your outcome (50%) and multiply it by the number of trials (three in this case) to get your answer.
However, since you cannot have half of a random, it's safe to assume that you will definitely have one good random but variance dictates that you might get two good randoms. It is highly unlikely that you'll get 0 or 3 good randoms but it is possible depending on standard deviation and how these trials are distributed (normal, skewed, etc).
But alas, we don't have enough data nor are we going to conduct enough trials (sample size) to get said data. Therefore, we'll just stick with the 1.5 good random expected value.
I learned more about stats because of poker than I ever did in college. Fuck, I got a C+ in stats in college, maybe if they applied real world examples to the material I would have been enlightened.

People tend to learn better when it's something they are invested in or enjoy doing.Merk wrote:I learned more about stats because of poker than I ever did in college. Fuck, I got a C+ in stats in college, maybe if they applied real world examples to the material I would have been enlightened.
I really love CS:GO's 64 tick servers.
