EDIT: I just found out that my family is going to be in Chicago this weekend as well for the symphony. If we can somehow make it to the Grant Park area we can hang out with them. My brother will want to hear all about the animes.

Our little conversations this morning got me to reading the OkTrends blog that does stats analysis regarding profiles on OkCupid. You guys should really read the blog, it is extremely fascinating. Sometimes the author runs into a few correlation = causation fallacies but overall it's really neat.

This one in particular I found interesting. If you're a lady and the more polarized opinions men have on your beauty, the more likely you are to be macked on. It's better for a group of men to think you're either really hot and really not so hot than it is for a group of men to have a general consensus that you're hot.
