Want likes? Bitch about liking.

Fuck the internet. Everyone should just post on their own little super niche obscure forums.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XA9dODDz ... ature=plcp

I have to use this as an example. 20% of the video is a request for likes, subscribers, ect. I see soooooo many musicians post shit on Facebook like, "Let's see if we can get 200 views on my rump-hump-bump mix on soundcloud." Or "Almost 200 likes please tell your friends about me!" I stopped watching HuskyStarcraft videos because I got sick of him CONSTANTLY asking people to subscribe and like his videos, podcasts, ect.
Hey now, only 3.7% of the video was directly asking for likes/subs, in total 11% was used to promote my channel.

I do my best to create content that I feel is worth watching, and with that video in particular I put roughly 32 hours into just editing the video. I didn't feel shameful at all asking for people to share the video if they liked it. I see it as more of a reminder to people that the like button exists, than trying to force someone into doing it.

And I know this is an old post to respond to, but I don't troll around here super often anymore haha.

You'll have to ask someone that actually got to see them.

First off, the line skip passes were done away with this year. Something about fire codes. Who knows.

Second, The event was pushed back until 10:00, then pushed back to 11:00, then pushed back to Midnight, then pushed back to 1:00. Remo-con went on at either 2:47 or 3:47 depending on how Twitter handles timezones. A line had formed outside the building in the rain because there was an existing line inside the building for an event that had also been delayed by a few hours. We gave up and went to sleep.

I don't know, as much as I like posting I can't really say too many positive things about the whole event and I don't like being a negative person. For what it's worth I got to go to another city (albeit a very small portion of it) and muck about while people watching so that was fun. I didn't get to do the one thing I went to do but whatev, if I had to end up waiting in line for four hours for the thing to start then I would have been more upset. I didn't take any vacation time to go on this shindig so I can't say I really lost anything.

The trip got me thinking of other vacations I'd like to take though. For some reason the idea of playing poker for four days straight in little casinos throughout the state while sleeping in shady motels and visiting dive bars appeals to me. The fact that this vacay was not so great makes me want to go to EVO to make up for it but really I would take any excuse to go to Vegas.

Finances!

I officially have a slush fund of $1,614 for the year!

$4,604 expected amount in bank by the end of May (yes Riot I included your computer in here lolOLOLOL)
$15,300 future take home
-$3990 Rent + Cell phone
-$100 Remaining debt on TV
-$4200 Gas and groceries
--------------------------
$11,614
-$10,000 to savings for a down payment on car/house/whatever
--------------------------
$1,614 left over for random bullshit

And these are the books of someone who is solid lower-middle class.

I coached an academic superbowl team and our competition was at Wayne HS last weekend. I remember running around the bleachers there with young Merk, eating popcorn, and listening to sweet jock jams songs like one from La Bouche which was rad. Good ol' days.

Yeah I really do remember those days fondly. I seriously was at Wayne about 3 days a week and I would do homework in the little teacher's lounge that was connected to the cafeteria, read Diablo/Starcraft instruction manuals and strategy guides, and then contemplate what snacks I would buy from the vending machines with the $3 my dad gave me. I'd then walk around the school/outside or watch whatever game my dad was refereeing or score keeping for like three hours and then go home. If I was able to find a bored enough person like Riot or Chris to join me I'd get to bring along a friend and we'd do stupid shit to keep ourselves occupied. God, I remember doing this a lot in 6th/7th grade, I guess my dad didn't want me home alone or whatever which was probably for the best but I'm honestly surprised I never got beat up or harassed by the kids at Wayne while I was walking about because really no one was looking after me while the game was going on and those Wayne kids are "not the best" to say the least.

It's too fucking bad my dad had to die!

This was a good post. I really like proof by verbosity.
