Maybe one of these days I'll restore all the pre-reset posts like I've wanted to do for the last...I don't know...3-4 years? It would, unfortunately, not be an easy process, and that's why it hasn't been done yet.

I should have all of that backed up. The big questions are finding it all, compiling it all (the forum data is in multiple chunks from when I used to prune), and making it all work (again). It seems like a lot of effort to satisfy the curiosity of just a few people, but I will admit that I am one of those people.

Could you just restore the old site and have a link on the main page to 'legacy IndyDDR'?

Yes. That would be the way that I'd do it for the most part. The problem is that the database backups for the forums are in multiple pieces. I'm not sure how to put them all back together. I can probably restore any one chunk, but I'm not sure what will happen when I try to do more than one. I looked into this a few years back. I don't recall now what hurdles I ran in to, but it was apparently not super easy or straightforward since it didn't get done. :P

I had hoped to maybe do something like this for the 10 year anniversary. We're past 11 at this point. Maybe for 12?

I think it was two different thoughts. The first referencing the previous picture, and the second referencing the guy wearing the backpack. The Asian in the picture was probably just coincidence.

I've never really understood it when DDR players wear backpacks, tight jeans, boots, or anything unnecessarily heavy. Yeah, we get it. You're a non-conformist that plays quirky Japanese games. It isn't as bad now as it was 8 years ago, but damn this isn't The FP.
