Inappropriate?

Post by letshavetea » Wed Apr 25, 2007 12:57 pm

On our local rock station they had a contest between some random girl and a porn star on who could fake the best orgasm over the radio... so here I am driving along and my car becomes filled with the sounds of women pleasures.

If this thread gets deleted it shows the mod's viewpoint on the subject, that it was indeed inapropriate. This is radio, so anybody can hear it... even small children which then ask their mommy a question about why does the pretty lady scream when she's happy and what is porn.

Appropriate... or not?

It's a rock station, things like this are what they do...because god knows there are enough kiddy friendly top 40 stations on the air as it is. If mommy doesn't want little billy asking embarassing questions, she can listen to pop radio when he's in the car.

The rest of us who are of age enough to understand why the pretty lady is screaming could use a good laugh, especially when we're, say...on our way to a shitty as job at the butt crack of dawn, or we're running a fucking machine with nothing to keep us entertained than a radio.
The TNT show on 98.9 is often the only thing that keeps me from going homicidal first thing in the morning. If they cleaned up their act....well, it would just be tragic.

Seriously, there are enough safe radio stations on the air. We don't need to make them all suck.

Stop being such a Ho.

I've faced this topic before, and I have to say that I'm perfectly fine with it. My thoughts are, is that America is often too sensitive when it comes to sex-oriented details, when compared to other countries.

For instance, in England there are 70-foot wide billboards of naked women advertising a Coke. This is a perfectly natural thing to do there, as nudity is widely accepted. Of course, it does grab one's attention quite well. ^_^

Is this the best, "ethical" thing to do over the air? Probably not. Is it the best way to bring in an audience? Probably not. It's just a way to get people to watch the show. It's a double-plus, because now that people know about it, they'll watch it.

Fun fact: only 3 posts at IndyDDR.com contain the word "boop."

Have you watched 'family friendly' tv? It isn't anything but sex and violence anymore.

Our country may be a little hung up on sex but it could be worse.

It's all just going to show you that the world is, indeed, going to hell.

Only if you believe sex is such a terrible thing. Personally, I don't see what all the fuss is about. It's a naturally occuring thing. It's not dirty. It's normal.
