We should have an old has-beens DDR tournament.

I would lose instantly from fatigue and a broken knee.

Here's when I was about to move to Bloomington and wanted to hang out with some local players. What a mistake that turned out to be.

Here's a necessary reminder of our creepier users, featuring a cameo by the Dirty Deezer! http://www.indyddr.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=491

And finally, here is a great thread where we all tried to face off against each other in a popularity contest, then I got upset that Chad beat me and I have secretly hated him ever since.

Me - "This whole system doesn't even work, it's all about who you are up against. Put everyone else up again but against a different person in the beginning, and you'll have a whole new winner and final bracket."

Chad - "You're just bitter because you got owned by a Fluffy. OWNED." jerk

and then it was God of Rock vs. Mosh Mosh Revolution in the finals, and MMR won... yep, she was definitely the best user in the history of IndyDDR.

The best threads were before the Great Reset of 2005. Too bad we can't find them anymore.

PS - Haven't checked this board in months. Hi!

I was thinking of bringing them back in an archive form for a 10th anniversary sort of thing (yeah we're almost there!) I just haven't had a chance to sit down and figure out the logistics of doing that yet.

So you're saying there exist a place on internet that holds the ancient treasures of the first five years of indyDDR?

That's amazing! O_O

Oh my god I want to see my introduction. That was when I was younger, probably more frail, and cared more about scores than people. Then I transitioned into my don't really care about scores but still think I'm good, but starting to care more about people phase. Now I am in my I don't play DDR and only use this as a hub for friends phase. I have truly evolved.

Yeah I was a pretty huge faggot back in the early days of indyDDR and I'd like to say that, after posting for 9 years, I've finally matured into a pretty baller poster.

As of right now, no...not on the Internet. Unless maybe you count Internet Archive, but its coverage is difficult to navigate and spotty at best.

But I do have backups of pretty much everything that IndyDDR has ever been over the past 10 years. It's just a matter of whether I can get any of them to actually work since systems have changes a lot in that time and I'm not sure if/how I can merge all the backups into something manageable.

That's actually really cool and it never occurred to me to ever do a web archive check of indyddr.com

"The last post on the forum was posted by Riot in the Conversation Cornucopia. The time/date stamp was 25 Nov 2004 09:51 am. Of course that was after the forum had been closed, so the clock was obviously running fast again as usual. The offset was 27 minutes, making his post actually at 9:24, 25 minutes prior to close."

Riot you are the alpha and omega.

Oooh hell, this brings back memories.

That Top 10 thread was funny. I was pissed at Casey, and then Fluffy got all butt hurt because he thought I was making fun of all of them.

Of course, everyone was butt hurt about something or other back in the day. At least then there was activity.
