Pinbaruuuu~~~
I watched about 30 minutes of a cool documentary last night.
http://www.hulu.com/watch/243423/specia ... ocumentary
If you like pinball, want to see ridiculous collections, want to see old men be bitter about a dying fad, or just want to learn about the history of arcades, this is a good video.
Looking at you Merk, Ho, and Roit.
I'll probably watch the rest tonight.

What's Brian's desire on getting Pinbaruuuu?

Re: Pinbaruuuu~~~
I added this to my Netflix queue a couple weeks ago more for Belinda than me. I haven't watched it.
Pinball is fine, but I have no particular personal interest in it. So, to answer your question: I have no interest in getting a pinball.
Here's a documentary I did watch recently:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1327599/
It's on Netflix. It's pretty sad (in multiple definitions of the word).

Re: Pinbaruuuu~~~
Watched this last night and the history parts were pretty interesting but it wasn't as entertaining as King of Kong. Some of the people in the documentary seemed like regular guys (namely that one guys' kids) but holy shit were there a lot of aspies that are boners for pinball and I can't help but juxtapose that niche next to us and the music game scene as a whole. ITG got a shout out which I guess was pretty neat.
Koi, the black guy, and Pingeek were the lowest of the low and it sucks that whatever is left of the Pinball community has to put up with them. You really need to ostracize those people early before they get super attached to whatever little acceptance they receive and become an embarrassment.

What communities, Merk, would you say you're a part of?

IndyDDR. Which I suppose is a part of the US Beet game scene as a whole.
Whatever happened to that one documentary or whatever that was being filmed about IndyDDR?

Wasn't Obama-boy filming people randomly? I remember that being a thing.

I guess. You can't really film Tilt in 2011 and call it IndyDDR. You'd need a time machine.

I really liked the one guy that everyone had considered the best. He didn't do stupid dances or get all ragey when playing. He had technique and practiced his technique. I really wish they would have showed more of him playing, executing, and general ball control. He makes me want to try to get better at the game.
Louisville Arcade Expo gon be nutso this year.

Re: Pinbaruuuu~~~
In retrospect it's difficult to consider that a full Gregorian year as come to be. Indeed, I would be honored to engage in the so called, "Louisville Arcade Expo" with you, gentlesir, and anxiously anticipate the date of its passing. Too much time has passed since I last dipped my genitals in the soothing bubbles of your comfort cauldron and should I have the opportunity to do so I would not give it a second thought.

Oh Jesus, those posts I made when I was "Politically Correct Merk" were amazing.
That was not a little euphemism, that was me saying I'd like to engage in 'Hot Tub Fun Time' aka getting naked and sitting in a hot tub.

We'll see what happens in 2013. I'm strongly considering staying in the hotel this year.

Re: Pinbaruuuu~~~
Why stay in a hotel when your family lives right there and you have a hot tub and it's free?
