Bettin' with brohams

What exactly is betting? Is it an agreement usually between two parties where the one who has made an incorrect prediction about an uncertain outcome will forfeit something stipulated to the other? Yes. That's what it is.

Merk and I are gonna bet on things. When we bet, we put our honor, self-respect, and dignity on the line. Through standard conversions, this comes out to exactly $1.00.

The juice is loose

Over-under Brandon's score in bowling. Merk wins with under.
Over-under Brandon's score in bowling (redux.) Chad wins the under.
Over-under Calories in a banana. Chad over Merk under.

The bottom line
Merk owes Chad $0.

You're welcome.

MonMotha you are the great equalizer! For the curious, the over/under line for the first game MonMotha bowled was 100, the second was 61.5

With that being said betting on how OTHER people perform at a random activity is probably one of the most fun ways to gamble.

The funny thing is that I'm such a crazy inconsistent bowler that both were reasonable. I've bowled pretty much anywhere between 30 and 130 within recent times.

That's awesome, yesterday's scenario was particularly good for us since neither of us have ever seen you bowl so we had no idea how you'd perform - going into these things blind for Chad and I is probably the most fun and indyDDR peeps generally lead to fun bets since we all rarely interact outside of a music / video game context (which I hope to change with these bi-weekly meetups) so shit like gambling on something like how many 3-point shots Brian could make given 10 attempts or how much SDP could bench are all fruitful, fun, and learning experiences for everyone! The key thing of course is making sure the person doing the task doesn't know what the line is so it doesn't impact their effort / the results.

Chad, what random bullshit do you want to gamble on now? How about many greats Riot will get on Tsugaru this week?

I suck at benching. Long arms and bad shoulder.

High school, college, or pro 3-point arc?

For pro, you should bet how many times I'll even hit the rim and/or board vs. nothin' but air.

Let's go with college, I didn't know there was a difference between levels (High School through Pro), I just knew there was a difference between men's and women's!

The difference between college and pro is pretty huge, actually. I don't know if the difference between high school and college is big or not.

While we're on the topic of basketball, can anyone on indyDDR dunk?

I can.

And in no way does that suggest I'm better now than I was in middle school at basketball.

Holy shit I am going to need to see some proof that SDP can dunk.

I believe high school and college used to be the same, but they moved the college line back a bit a few years ago.

Pro line is a long distance call to the basket. Good thing everyone has a cell phone these days!
