Re: Ho's Humility Thread
HOLY BUTTS!
I just won my first Shaker Classic on Salty Bet!
(Shaker Classic #7740)
The tournament leaderboard doesn't update after the final round and goes away (dumb). This was my standing going in to the final. I won my $50K bet for the finals and stayed on top. pocket951 went all in and won, but that wasn't enough to catch me. The others up there at the top either didn't win, didn't bet, or didn't bet enough to catch me either. WOOHOO!
This made my rank awesome! (#573!) Of course, if you've been following me at all, you'd know I was over $5M. So, I've slipped quite a bit over the last few months. But at least I finally got my first tourney win! 2017 is looking good!

So Brian do you just have Salty Bet on a browser tab or something while you're a work and you sort of randomly play it in the background while you're waiting for an e-mail or something?
Re: Ho's Humility Thread
It hangs out on my second monitor. I alternately watch it or ignore it depending on how busy it is.

Your desk is infinitely cooler than mine but why do you have three sticks of chapstick? lol
I don't have any funsies monitors, but I do have a few funsy browser tabs like IRC, IndyDDR, SomethingAwful, ProFootballTalk, and occasionally Facebook.

For the Bert's Bees, I think it's a case of losing one, buying a new one, and then finding the lost one. The gray one in the middle I think I bought a long time ago to see what it was like. I can't even remember the last time I used it. It could be 10 years old! I threw it out just now since you got me thinking about it.

Re: Ho's Humility Thread
Ugh, guys. Just about a month later and I've had a string of really bad luck.
Re: Ho's Humility Thread
Dropped below $1M. Went all-in. Figured I'd win decent or visit the mines for the first time in ages.
Omega_rugal did not let me down.
Extrahighfairy $1,247,067 Omega_rugal EX $3,613,305
$861684 → +$297395 | 1:2.9
Back in the Salty Millionaire club...for now.

I was going all-in whenever I dropped below $1M. I think I survived that like 4 times and then...nope.
$6M gone. WHAT A TRUMPSTER FIRE!

The end of an era....
Re: Ho's Humility Thread
I made it back to $1M yesterday. I think that was a much faster journey to $1M than when I first started Salty betting. Hopefully I can keep this trend going.
