Every machine I played on (Exceed 1 and Exceed 2) , the BPM was doubled. But fear not, there is a work around....well, maybe (it worked for Prex3, so maybe). Someone on Pump Haven has fixed the BPM of that and DJ Nightmare. It's a file that must be loaded onto the machine.

Well, I know exactly how to change it (on Exceed 2, no less, though it is far from trivial), I was just curious if it did it or not. Some machines do not.

If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.

No, there's a parameter in the stepchart that controls Tempo and 1/nth notes. Basically, halve the tempo and double n. However, the stepcharts are in a format that requires about 4 levels of indirection to completely unpack/repack. I don't plan on distributing a program to make these mods.
