Secef's Crap Scores

Post by Secef » Wed Feb 02, 2005 2:39 pm

Get it? Secef's crap scores? Secef = feces, crap... HOHO! What a clever play on words! I am a witty man.

...

Anyway. Here's the beginning of my new brag thread. Normally I wouldn't create one, but lack of NNR and my old score records makes me unhappy, so here I am making posts here. Let me begin by listing my craptastic AAAs and migrating some old scores from my thread on INDDR.

Current AAAs (17): Let the Beat Hit Em, Cutie Chaser (Morning Mix), My Summer Love, Freckles, Kind Lady, Let's Groove, La Copa de la Vida, Baby Baby Gimme Your Love, 5.1.1, Keep on Movin', Nori Nori Nori, Air, Sync(H), Mobo Moga, Colors(H), Holic, Candy Star

And notable scores (for me) as of late (past week or two):
Cartoon Heroes - 52g + good (AA)
Sakura(H) - 42g + good (AA)
Across the Nightmare(H) - 34-1-0-1 (AA)
Can't Stop Fallin' In Love (Speed Mix) - 36g EX
Sweet Sweet <3 Magic - 33g + good
AM-3P Oni Remix - 21g
Paranoia Max - 21g
Paranoia Rebirth - 20g
Crash - 19g EX
Healing Vision - 14g
INSERTiON - 14g
Brilliant 2U (Orch Groove) Oni - 10g
Paranoia 180 - 8g
1998 - 2g
Love Shine - 1g
Twinbee - 1g

I think those're the winners from INDDR and recently. Not that they're really winners at all. They suck. But regardless, they're here.

More terrible scores.

Gentle Stress - 25g (best...?)
Brilliant 2U KOGG3 Mix - 18g
Little Bitch (Oni) - 13g (not sure if that's my best)
Little Boy - 12g
Drop the Bomb (System SF Remix)- 1g (1g, then 2g, then 9g. GAH! -_-)

1998 is doing a good job at getting me mad too. I always do craptastic on it, like 3 or 4 greats but I know it's easy and I should be able to AAA the stupid song. =/

I also failed to mention yesterday that I bested my old score for Naoki Neo-Standard: 3737 -> 3773. Just enough to beat that MTJ. guy's top score at the Union that has been taunting me for a while.

Also, I think I'm getting to the point where I can pass Max 300 consistantly with a C (it's usually luck that I beat it period), but it's getting irritating. I'd like to get a B on it, I have this feeling that I can. But no, I end up with crap like x-169-21-6-15 today (which is actually kinda eerie since I just got x-169-22-7-21 yesterday. How very similar they are.). Perhaps sometime soon.

I got a new AAA earlier today: Burnin' the Floor. Not impressive by any means, but eh, I'll take it.

Drop the Bomb (System SF Mix) is really pissing me off now. Today, I played it god knows how many times... a lot more times than the one or two it should've taken to AAA it, but I never did. I black-flagged it three times (twice in a row), got 2 twice, 3 and 4 once, and I think a 5 at one point because I stopped caring. They all occur in the same spot. I get past all the 16th note things at the end, then I get to a freeze arrow and a double stomp on the left that starts on an 8th note. After that, I usually get one or two for some really weird reason. It's not hard. It's not off-beat (I don't think). I nail the first 9/10s of the song perfectly, but then I just lose it there. And, to rub salt in the wound, if I ever do screw up prior to that section, I NAIL THAT SECTION I ALWAYS GET A GREAT IN! It's like some kinda evil torture that's aggravating me into playing it over and over. Gahhh...

Scores today...

bag - 41g, 3 goods, finally AA'd the stupid song
Drop the Bomb - 3g
Drop the Bomb (System SF Mix) - AAA (finally... good god)

I think that brings me to... 19 crappy AAAs now. Yay.

Henceforth on, this thread will not only be for DDR, but PIU and Pop'n as well. Triple threat, baby.

DDR
Haven't played since Thursday... so no news.

PIU
I managed to beat my first double-digit difficulty song today, and it was pretty damn hard. I beat Can Can on Crazy, which is a 12. I did it with an A to boot, so... yay! Jim was even there so I have a witness to a feat for a change. I also knocked my old score from the number one spot in that same run. Good stuff.

Pop'n
Well, yesterday I managed to get a couple more 100ks. Some of which I'm pretty happy with.

Mukashi Banashi
High G
Neo Folk Rock
Ping x Pong x Dash
Rainy
Candy Pop

I'm particularly proud of Candy Pop since it's a 23. Hardest song I've 100k'd yet, I think. Neo Folk Rock was kinda tricky as well. I'm surprised I got it.

Well, I went and played ITG in Ft. Wayne for my first time. I'd say I walked away happy after a 7 hour set of fairly vigorous playing.

I also walked away with some decent scores for my first time playing the game, I think. I toppled 7 or 8 Hard #1 scores or so: Kagami, No1 Nation, Normal, Driving Force Classical, Utopia, Anubis... I think some others were in there. I can't think of them, though. That was all fine and good, but I had three particular scores I liked from this evening...

Utopia Hard - 32 excellent, 1 great - 98.xx%
Normal Hard - 40 excellent - 97.1x% (AAA! OMGOMGOMG!)
Driving Force Classical Hard - 26 excellent - 98.99% (AAA AGAIN! OMGWTF!)

I'll also mention that I beat Queen of Light, Kagami, and Anubis Expert. Yay because I suck at 10s and 11s/12s seem pretty unfathomable to me at the moment. I'd have probably beaten them with more notable scores or maybe just more 10+ Expert songs in general, but by the time I was adjusted to ITG and doing well, my short-term stamina was kinda kaput.

Also, Liquid Moon in that Energy Marathon sucks because of that first mod. Screw that "let's make it so all the arrows are in a single wavey column" crap! >_<

Haven't mentioned much lately... since there hasn't been much to mention. I have been doing well on Pop'n lately though.

Recent Pop'n scores:

Cuddlecore (21) - 100k
Silky (13?) - 100k
Hiprock (27) - 96k
Hipunk (23?) - 95k
Gabba (25) - 94k
Seisyun Punk Hyper (30) - 91k
Ninja Hero Hyper (28) - 87k
Punk Hyper (31) - 84k
Lesson Hyper (30) - 82k
Cutie Honey EX (27) - 81k
Hiprock Hyper (34) - 80k
Turban Hyper (30-33?) - 80k
Girls Rock Extreme Hyper (30) - 79k
Depa Funk Hyper (30 or 31) - 78k
Rock Guitar Hyper (31) - 76k (shitty, but it's a pass)

I'm particularly pleased about clearing Girls Rock Extreme Hyper and Absolute/Rock Guitar Hyper. Those two are real toughies. Also, I've managed to clear all the songs up to the 27s on PNM 10, which I'm almost through as well. Taking that into account along with the fact that I'm beating a lot more 28-30s, I think I'm getting a little better at this game finally. ;p

Hi. I suck at PIU.

Now that we have Zero in Bloomington, I can pass a 14, although it feels more like a 12 or something: Enter the Dragon CZ. I definitely would not give it the same rating as Hi-Bi CZ and Papa Gonzales CZ, but whatever. It's definitely easier for me than My Way CZ too...

Speaking of Hi-Bi CZ... I'm getting closer to passing that dirty bastard. I'm at the point that the part until the slow down midway is fun, but afterwards I go into suck mode because I'm not exactly the seasoned Mr. Twisty McTwisterton pro.

I'm also getting better at Nightmare stuffs. I passed Up Up, One Love (spanked that one, really), and U today with little difficulty. Hoorah. Pad transfers are making a little more sense to me now, I think.

Did well enough to get 4,700,000 on my last game, climbing to the top of ye olde high score chart (until Friday or so whenever Jason Dread + others come to whip the machine into submission). Join the Party CZ 3x Random (lower-right button; sucked), Beat of the War 2 HD 3x (this is soooo easy), Chung Hwa Ban Jeom CZ 3x (CHUNG HWAAAAA BAN JEOOOOOOOM!), One Love NM 3x (easy pointage). 3x is a nice x.

Related thought: I think I should go play DDR sometime to see if I'm any better speed-wise. I can do 150bpm streams of 16ths with little issue usually on PIU now... something that always hindered my DDR ability. I'd probably end up failing V Oni or something though. Nyaaaah. >_<
