Re: New ITG2 (dedicated cabinet) in Fishers/Noblesville
Hey, it's been a while!
I've been to Pinheads off and on since I live 3 minutes away, so here's a little update. Apparently someone (unsuccessfully) hacked it? Uber Rave and Strangeprogram are both on there, but if you try to play them there's no steps. The pads are doing well and the price is once again a dollar for three songs
Does anyone know what the news is on getting it R21? I remember hearing something about a new hard drive or something..?

Re: New ITG2 (dedicated cabinet) in Fishers/Noblesville
hehehehe....
It says "Don't Pick This" for a reason. Anyway, there is no bios password which makes it WAAAAAY easier to hack compared to R16s and up that do have passwords. The thing about Revision 1 machines is that they do NOT run on StepMania 3.95 cvs like R2 and up. Because of this, not only can you NOT update it without ordering a new hard drive from RoXoR (oh wait, lawsuit) but you also need the correct version of StepMania (an earlier CVS build) to cache the songs to get the steps to play properly.
Regardless, attempting to hack this machine was good preparation for the one at Stardust Bowling Alley which now has over 2,000 songs and 5 other themes. I'd strongly recommend going there (I go nearly every day) but I'm still down for going to Pinheads once more.

I'm most likely going to Stardust this weekend to check it out with some friends. What's on there besides ITG3/Rebirth?

One of the programmers of OpenITG assured me that they are working on an easier way to convert R1s to OpenITG. Right now the process is long, confusing, and not 100% guaranteed.

I'm down for a meet up here, but if you want to do any pad maintenance we must befriend some employees.
