You'd also have to change my birth date or wait 2 months

I actually want a name change anyway. I don't use this username anywhere in the Bemani community. Or really anywhere anymore.

I wonder if they've gotten rid of their SN2 yet?

Probably not. And we're approaching 2 years of it being dead.

It seems to really be a simple fix, and the fix is really no more illegal than 90 percent of Extremes in the US.

Doubtful given the price they were asking. The sad reality is that Tilt is treating many of their older cabinets as an afterthought and I have to wonder how much longer it will be open.

Well, Carson's is closing. Not sure how it will affect Tilt, but it's at best no effect, and that's if they get something in there quickly. If it ends up becoming ground level retail/restaurant space and office space the rest, nothing will stay open in the mall besides I guess the movie theater (which might actually keep Tilt open, given that they're both on the same floor).

I think something like a Target or Walmart would do well there, and would do well even if the mall were to close. Failing that, I think Round1 should look into the space. It would be a different setting than their other stores, but I think it could work out. I'm sure they want to open a store here, there just hasn't been anywhere to put one yet. Nordstrom closed before they started expanding in the US, whatever Metropolis is called now is still half-built, and nothing has closed at any of the desirable malls (Sears is still hanging on somehow in Castleton and Greenwood, and Round1 wouldn't go to the Fashion Mall even if a store closed there).

Looking at Round1's ambitious expansion, it's a matter of when, not if, we get one.

Shit, Carson's is closing? Dang I got a few good shirts from there.

Do you think that Round1 would really consider looking into Circle Center? It'd be super cool if they did but I'm pessimistic and besides I don't know if Carson's space would be big enough. They got a ton of vertical space but every Round1 I've seen has been just a giant, open, one-story room.

How the fuck does Tilt even stay in business?

But anyway aren't you 21 now, DiamondBack1996? We could in theory go to Tappers lol ayyyyyyyyyy

I think Round1 will look into it. Whether they'll actually move in there is a different story. I think it's a better location than Castleton or Greenwood though. You have all the people who live downtown and in the surrounding neighborhoods, plus anyone who's already there anyway for work, shopping, sports, or conventions. Place would be packed during Gencon. They also aren't a stranger to downtown areas (Japan isn't well-known for its suburban sprawl), but they do seem to prefer suburban spaces.

That said, this page on their website gives square footages of their store concepts. The Carson's space is listed at 144,000 sqft, so any of these could theoretically fit. The vertical space thing might be a problem, but they could definitely work around it. If they need to, I'm sure they could expand to the 4th floor. Tilt wouldn't have a reason to stay in this scenario anyway. The total retail space is the bigger issue, given that it barely misses the minimum space specified, not to mention Round1 would be the sole anchor. I believe that the foot traffic in the area plus the proximity to other businesses outside the mall outweighs these concerns, though. And like I said, they have no reason not to expand here. Castleton/Greenwood might be full for years, looking at how slow Sears is dying. The Carson's space gives them a way to get into the market earlier.

I dunno how Tilt stays in business. The Indy 500 simulator is kinda fun (needs refurbishment though) but other than that there's really nothing worth doing there.

Does Tappers have DDR? It's pretty much the only game I'd go to an arcade for besides any other rhythm game.

If their giant Indy 500 setup were the corresponding giant Daytona USA setup, I would be far more interested in playing it (assuming it worked).

And yeah, that place was pretty pathetic the last time I was there which was, uh, 5 years ago? I gather it's gotten no better since then...

They fixed Supernova2 which I guess is an improvement!

You gotta appreciate the little things in life.
