I looked on http://www.ddrfreak.com in the machine locator section.

I don't know your area, so you'll have to look there, too, but the only skate rink I see that has a Max2 machine is Rainbo Lanes in Elkhart and United Skates West in Indy.

Funny, though, that I'm looking at this list and not realizing how much DDR has changed in my own city.

Fort Wayne now has three In the Groove machines, just one Extreme, one 5th (which I learned on), and one MAX (which I now must seek out and play).
No more eggs! :D
An actual signature will come soon, I suppose.

Woah woah woah, did I miss something? I need an update on the Fort Wayne situation please.

Alright, it seems as if Putt-Putt, Wayne Rec, and the crappyass indoor place right near Putt-Putt now have In the Groove.

Lazer X still has its lovable 5th Mix, and TnT still has their Extreme.

And Stef just confirmed that Georgetown Bowl has MAX.

Also, there are the two Solo 2000 machines up in Auburn.

Sweet action.

So it seems the MAX machine is a machine that used to be in Indy (confirmed by having TAQA plastered all over the high score boards)
The pads are pretty good, a little slippery, but they're very close to TNT's quality :)
I got the extra stage (Max 300! zomg) and managed to pass it. First time I've passed that song on extra stage.
