Guitar Hero: Aerosmith confirmed

This one gets a big 'mediocre' from me. Why pick a single band to do an entire release of Guitar Hero? And why Aerosmith? They're OK, but certainly not my top pick.....

The last time I recall such blatant usage of just one group in a game was Beatmania Feat. Dreams Come True which is consider an afterthought these days.

Damnit. They were supposed to do Guitar Hero: DRAGON FORCE!

I would've started playing.

I would play Guitar Hero if they did Guitar Hero: Machinae Supremacy

This is a TERRIBLE idea.
Limiting your market appeal to fans of one band? What a great idea.
Somebody's going to get fired when this is a flop.

Hmmm, the article says,
Epic Collaboration Creates First Music-Based Game to Feature One
Band
and
As fans progress through their careers in the game, they can rock out to scores of Aerosmith's greatest hits
I swear, there has never been an article about this game that does not include 'rock out'.

Heh, reading the entire article shows that other artists 'who inspired' Aerosmith are in the game too. So the tagline is wrong on two counts

Are we talking Chuck Barry and Bob Dylan here? These guys likely "inspired" Aerosmith, considering their age. No joke.

This game has fail written all over it.

Fun fact: only 3 posts at IndyDDR.com contain the word "boop."

iknorite
every GH installment installment seems like it could easily just have been extra songs as DLC

Yeah a good Aerosmith song pack could be like:
Sweet Emotion
Walk This Way
Dude (Looks Like a Lady)
Rag Doll
Love in an Elevator
Livin' on the Edge
Jaded

(I omitted Dream On since it is free for now...I nabbed it today)

They could release that for like, say, $8.99 and plenty of people would buy it.

Speaking of which, I was really disappointed with Dream On.
It was a terribly easy file (I only missed one first time playing it), and there were no really fun parts. Really boring =\

No Dream On for me -- still no DLC for the Wii; dammit :x
