The Matrix Online
Bought it and I'm on level 6 now. It's pretty cool once I got into the scenario of the story. The noobie missions tend to seem slow, but hopefully they'll pick up. Anyone else play? I think it's at least worth trying the free 30 day trial (once you buy it).
Yes, for 'comp'.Potter wrote:for comp right?
The Matrix Online is one of those games that I'm hoping more than anything will be extremely sweet but can't help but feel like it's going to be a flop. If anyone has it or has played it, please share your thoughts; I can't seem to find any reviews at this point in time.

Sam, I play it as well, and it's a pretty good fucking game. I recommend picking it up. The combat system is grossly indepth - everything from the martial arts (you can master three styles, Karate, Kung Fu, and Aikido) to the gunplay. The combat is the essence of the game, and the world is huge. I'm just getting started. The leveling is slow but by no means boring, and I enjoy the missions.
If you pick it up, Mei-Mei and I play on the Method server. Just send Sinjinn or Kyouko a tell.

in the preview (was the last 3 days of beta) i attempted to play the missions but there's this funny bug in the game (pray to god it's been patched)
NPCs DON'T SPAWN RANDOMLY!
Yes you haerd right. You'll be doing a mission and some of the NPCs for the mission aren't fucking spawned. So, you're stuck. Then an agent comes because you've been in the mission area for too long and you get destroyed.
Also the controls are atrocious..rather than having analog movement when you use WASD turning is jerky and done at about 10 degree increments...I mean it's nothing huge, but it's a bit annoying to me that I can't run parallel to the sidewalk and have to constantly correct movement.
Gun battling may be more than what I saw, but from what I got it was just clicking the gun and waiting till it hit and repeating...The kung fu was neat but I didn't like the fact that the only weapons you can get are guns...I'm a melee kinda guy...I know kung fu. (lol)
Also it requires a VERY beefy computer. Mine was hiccuping because my cpu just couldn't handle it (Xp1800+ w/ 9800 768mb DDR333)
and there's my 1 song review of MxO
