Nights Into Dreams being remade for the PStwo

Post by Amp Divorax » Sat Dec 15, 2007 9:49 pm

While I know that the sequel is coming out for the Wii, I find the news of a remake of the original game for the PStwo very exciting. There is one drawback though, this will only be available in Japan. Thank god I have a JP PStwo!

Actually, Dragon Force got re-released on the Playstation 2 as a part of the Sega Ages series in Japan.

I really do own a Japanese Playstation 2 and I don't use Swap Magic. (Independence Exploit FTW!!!)

Don't make me use two facepalm graphics in one day! (J/K!)

Why is the word palindrome not itself a palindrome?

A bit of an update, I now have the game and they did a solid job on the remake.

There are two versions of the game available to play, the 'Sega Saturn Dream' and the 'Brand New Dream.' Personally, I feel the Saturn version was unnecessary as the only difference between both versions is the resolution. (Here's how the new dream looks.)

One thing that I like is that the game does have a 16:9 mode so my TV loves it. One thing though that may turn off people is that the audio sounds the same as the Saturn version, but I personally like that as a fan of the classic soundtrack.

Oh, for those who lack the capability to play backups and imports I have some good news. Nights will be available courtesy of the Gametap service. The question I have though is will it be a port of the Saturn version or of the PStwo remake?
