Classic games going HD!

Post by Amp Divorax » Sun May 04, 2008 3:00 am

Ok, I kinda mentioned this at Ho's house eariler this past evening and I figure I should post up some info and vids on them.

King of Fighters 12: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/30832.html KOF finally goes back to 2D and thank god. This time around though it's not only in HD, but all characters have been completely redrawn for this game.
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix (Damn that's a long fucking name!): http://www.gametrailers.com/player/31830.html: For those not in the know, UDON Comics has hand drawn the artwork in this game so it looks VERY nice. For those with OCD though the old sprites will also be available.
Bionic Commando: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/33284.html I loved this game as a kid and I can't wait to open a can of whoopass on Hitler.... wait I mean Mecha D cause they can't call him the other name in the US!
Ikaruga: It's available now on XBLA and there may be a thread for it, but this and Gradius V helped convince me to start playing Schmups again! Seriously, it makes me wish that Bangai-O would see an HD release. (Thankfully the sequel for that game will be on the DS domestically soon!)

So is Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix :D There's a game I've been wanting to buy at the PS store.

idk if it's just the video quality but the animation looks really choppy on SSF2THD...Bionic Commando looks pretty sweet though. As does KOF12 but that's kinda old news.

To my knowledge the game will be going at 60 fps, the videos don't really reflect that.
