I just started playing halo, and i suck of course :-\

Not to be off subject here, but is this attack of the clones around here lately or what!? I mean, "XeroCi" and "Merkip" I'm starting to detest this bloody nickname thing more and more I see it.

Umm, i made Merkip up all by myself. Its been my nick name for a very long time.

halo is a good game. i liked the first one better than the second one because you had to practice it alot!
halo 2 gives kids that are 5 years old and have good reflexes a chance with dual pistols.

im gonna compare the two

halo 1
*pistol had a scope (it made it more deadly too)
*Health bar
*challenging
*the jumping wasn't twice as high and realistic
*story line was alot better!
halo 2
*what happened to the health bar? now its just shields
*noobs catch on quick.
*not overall that great.
*online play is awesome.

Hopefully, good sir, you'll reply to the PM I sent you.

In it, I described a meeting place for a nice Halo 2 standoff on X-Box Live; hopefully he'll accept and we'll duke it out.

After I win, I plan to at least reassure the victims (whom I'm sure read this thread) of standbyers that the people who do them do, in fact, suck at Halo 2 and use this method to justify it.

For those of you who aren't Halo2 geeks like myself, "Standby" is a method of cheating used on X-Box live that involves using a modem to give unfair advantage to whoever can tinker with it; in a nutshell, everyone's screen freezes, minus the cheating team, and it allows them to capture the flag, rack up the kills, and essentially do as they wish. It's down and dirty cheating, and Bungie is working hard on the solutions; hopefully the next patch for the game will help resolve these problems.

In any case, I just want a shot at a standbyer - not necessarily because I don't like you, but because I'm always searching for competition; especially those who like to talk trash. =)

I hope this isn't regarded as a flame.. it's more of.. a chance for justice?

I've been playing Halo 2 on XBOX Live A LOT lately...like at least 2 hours most days.

I'm a level 13 in Team Slayer, 11 in Team Skirmish, 8 in Rumble Pit, 5 in Big Team, and 3 in Head to Head.
