A partitioned charge will work as long as 1) you've spent at least 42 frames total in the charge position and 2) you don't attempt another partition after you've reached 42 frames of charging.

You're allowed to leave the charge position for up to 10 frames before losing the charge. If you've charged less than 42 frames total, you can return to the charge position and keep your charge. If you go past 42 frames, you'll lose your charge 10 frames after you leave the charge position no matter what.

Example:

With Urien, hold down for half a second (no longer). Dash and bring the stick back to down as soon as you can. Hold down a little longer after you've recovered from the dash, then press up+P. You'll get a headbutt.

Now try holding down for 5 seconds. Dash and bring the stick back to down as soon as you can. After you've recovered from the dash, press up+P. There won't be any headbutt because you've charged longer than 42 frames before dashing.

Say what you will about Third Strike, but nothing makes you feel more like a baller than parrying a super or a wake up shoryuken.

You've all never had to experience this but I've run into this guy quite a number of times on XBL:

His troll really is frustrating and part of the reason why a lot of people have moved on to FightCade, the predecessor of GGPO

I'm just glad he won in the end by getting an article written about him.

I think the only reason this is even a noteworthy story is because it's against such a small community, it's gone on for years, and because it's not your typical "hey fuk u fag" troll you see in every other game. Like one commenter said, this guy is the Ghandi of trolls. If the matchmaking in 3S XBL wasn't balls or if a shit load of people played the game then this guy wouldn't even be a thing.

It makes you wonder though if IndyDDR is noteworthy by virtue of the fact that it's been around for wayyyyy longer than its subject matter has been popular.

Oh I'm usually on Fightcade now! It's free, you can get to games quicker, and you don't have to deal with trolls like ufcgym !

This game is fucking great. Y'all need to get on FightCade2 - shit is too good.
