They really dropped the ball on the controller. I mean, the Ouya is being advertised as more or less a device that lets you play flash games / mobile games / emulators on your TV and the $99 price tag reflects that so I have no expectation that it's some revolutionary console that's going to change the market. You can easily do all of this shit with your PC at home but that requires effort whereas the Ouya is lightweight and shit generally works out of the box. Basically, it's a device for lazy mofos. If the controllers were reliable then I can see the console being a solid buy for casuals and non but as it stands it's more of a novelty.

Towerfall going on Steam is cool and shit but a lot of the appeal of the game IMO is sitting around a TV with your bros and giving each other high fives over a sick as fuck dodge or murder.

They'll probably have local play. I need to build a media PC.

Since my Tricoro machine was a huge waste of money, do you want to buy my puter? It has been lightly used.

$200. You can probably part out a media PC for cheaper but this one comes assembleeeeeeed.

Vidja Card: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ATI-Radeon-E469 ... 4cfe14837e

Hard drive was a thing that was snatched from work.

Vidja card does not do native HDMI however you can use a passive DVI -> HDMI converter and there will be no lag (I'm sure MonMotha or whomever will tell me I'm wrong here)

I'd probably need to upgrade the video card, but I'll def think about it.

It was fun to reread this thread. I remember being pretty hype about the Ouya. Did anyone here end up buying one? If so, when was the last time you used it?

Riot's first post was, oddly enough, correct!

God damn, the Ouya was really a piece of shit. The entire Ouya library of games is less than 1/3 of the games on the XBox Indie Games marketplace.

All the comments on this YouTube are awesome.

God damn, this thread inspired me to go read about the Ouya some more and there are people who have still literally not received their Ouya from the Kickstarter campaign. You could go to the fucking bargain bin at Target and get an Ouya now for cheaper than what you "donated" in the Kickstarter campaign!

Seriously how have people still not received an Ouya. That sounds like internet BS.

Ouya is run by the most incompetent boobs so it does not surprise me that people haven't gotten their Kickstarter Ouyas. If the Internet BS is plausible and I want to believe it then, God damn, I will believe it!
