more rumors! ps2news says that the loader is probably a bios firmware replacement and will work on all versions of psp. too bad they aren't a real group so who knows if they're right. i just want my nes emulator damnit!

better snippit:
From the nfo of Dynarox latest release:
"Installation
In a really near future, a loader will be released to make games work via the Memory card.In a way to admit it , Soon all games will work on V1.0, V1.5. We Need to make some more test. Till then be patient. "
The releases seem to be real so it's likely that what they are telling us about the loader is true.

Submitted by Mangus_the_Shadow via email

The inclosed files are only experimental and have only been tested on PSP v1.5. These files are a source for other programmers/hackers to modify and attempt to run fully. If any new results are found please post your findings at a psp hacking website (such as psphacks.net or psphacker.com) to allow others the opportunity to work from your attempts.

Also in the Readme is the results of Mangus_the_Shadow's study on pbp files and their contents.

Good luck hacking! 8P - Mangus_the_Shadow

Files are available here

Cheers

One step closer =)

I got it working (tis relatively simple). I've got Chrono Trigger, FF2 and 3, Megaman X, X2, X3, Lufia, Super Metroid, and some more on there right now. I'm looking for Super Mario or Mario All Stars but they're all protected or something, nothing is available. In case any of you might have one or know where to get one, that would be lovely =)

i must say i'm fucking amazed at these psp hacks. After fiddling around with them, it's seriously very trivial hacks. I'm amazed how many loopholes in sony's security there is....but then again I guess that's why there's been 2 firmware revisions since US's launch heh.

I don't think iso's are good at all, PSP's support will be dropped very quickly.

nope...as it looks this pathway will *only* work on 1.5 psps. and since sony is not selling 1.5 anymore, it's a commodity.
