Score Tracking Site ???

Does anyone know of a score tracking website for PIU ala DD:Recall/VJ Army/pop'n navy for their respective games?

I seem to recall coming across a site that was going to start one awhile ago, but I don't remember what site it was and whether anything actually became of it.

Don't the people who do DD:Recall also do a PIU site?

Edit: maybe I was thinking of their ITG site, I can't seem to find it.

For the sake of completeness, though I'm sure you already know about it, I'll point you to the official ranking site.

No.

They support DDR and ITG...and seem to be adding DrumMania. At least I'm guessing that based on the name "DM Track."

Also, I left you a challenge on DD:Recall. Go check it. ;)

Oh, yeah, I have a DD:Recall account. Oops.

I am playing something! Beatmania!

Unfortunately, I signed up for DD:Recall when I thought I was going to be recovering my balance a lot faster than I have thus far. But I'll drop by ye olde arcade today and see how well I can bar-whore. I always DID say that was a skill I meant to learn. :D

Do you have a VJ Army account?

No... should I? I'm not really that good, I just enjoy playing.

I'm not especially good at any of these games. I just like to use the score tracking sites to track my own personal progress. I can see what I've done, what I haven't, and if I'm maybe...just maybe...getting any better!

And it's fun to compare against people I know for a little friendly competition. Sometimes it can serve as good motivation. For instance, I've played a lot more DDR since I started my friendly competition against blackcat24. Same goes for pop'n vs. MonMotha and Secef. In the process, I've found myself getting better almost in spite of myself.

So yeah...you should. :)

There is no current Pump It Up Score tracking site and as far as I know one never existed.

The closest I'd heard is that supposedly a guy I know from Paducah said he got Andamiro's blessing, some images from their site to use, and almost all the information about the scoring system so he could actually create a VJ-Army type of site for Pump.

Obvious nothing happened with that, and I'm pretty sure AM didn't give away the information of their scoring system to begin with. If anyone was going to start, I'd say Brandon has the most information and technical know-how to get the ball rolling on a project like this.

I think the system you mention might be what I saw awhile back...and apparently it never went anywhere. That could be why I couldn't find anything when I searched prior to starting this tread.

As for starting something...

Given that the scoring system seems to change frequently, it would probably be best to just standardize some kind of a common system for something like this...something like a Dance Points system. Or just track raw Perfect, Great, Good, etc. counts.

(Fixed.)

I notice you don't mention comparing IIDX scores against anyone, which makes me suspect there aren't that many IndyDDRers using it... :P

But I signed up for an account anyway, and will be updating it with scores when I finish playing tonight. (Must... Perfect Combo... Era... nnngh...)

I am by far the weakest at IIDX of all the games I mentioned. In general, all the people I know that I have done a DJ Battle with on VJ Army soundly spank me.

But I think the reason I didn't really mention it in the previous post is just that it's not top of mind for me. I just checked my VJ Army account, and the last score I entered wasn't even this year! I guess IIDX has been kind of backburnered while I've been focusing on other games.

I'm sure I'll get back to it one of these days. But I suppose someone (perhaps you) posting that (s)he stomped one of my scores might hasten such a return. ;)

P.S. - You didn't mention what your DJ name is on VJA.

One? ONE? After that big lecture on how competition is good and it makes us better players? Check your account, Ho - VJArmy may not support challenges but I think the inference is clear.

I was actually going to go through and play everything you'd logged scores for, but I got bored somewhere around Holic. I'll throw myself at the remainder over the weekend. In the meantime, though - let's be Beatmania enemies! Pwease? 8)

(Incidentally: I'm DJ ARKA, who else would I be?)

I'm not sure what the "One? ONE?" is referencing.

As for being beatmania enemies, sure...but do we have to use the word 'enemies?' How about adversaries? Or DJ battly-people? :P

How about we compromise and be nemeses? I need a new nemesis, the old one has stopped moving when I poke him. :P

"One? ONE?!" was referencing the scores I logged today - I didn't settle for stomping just one score. Of course, the vast majority of those were profoundly marginal (i.e., you could probably stomp me right back - do it!).

DJ battle says the win goes to Arka, 11-0. And there are two songs on which the delta is only 3 points... yeesh!

Oh, yeah, log more scores on Hyper.

I get the feeling I should be starting a new thread for this exchange, but I'm not sure where it would go. Does the Brag Board double as a Trash Talk forum?

When you play 1 handed (like Ho does), most of the 7-Keys (aka "Hyper") charts are decidedly difficult, so he tends to play mostly harder Light-7 ("Normal") stuff.

I'd tell you to DJ Battle me, but my scores are even older than Ho's. I played the crap out of Pop'n Music, though...
