lol look out, even if you've played the game and you dont like it, you will get your ass torn in half even remotely voicing your opinion that you dislike it, fair warning (not by me, by others)Wolfen wrote:There's really nothing special.
The ITG charts lack turning. And sometimes just have DUMB gimmicks thrown about in there.

He was there at the same time as we were. Yes, he's played it. Yes, the ITG songs that I played did in fact lack the level of turny goodness that Pump normally has. And yes, the turns in Monolith NM don't work right.lgolem wrote:ummmm................. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5H5ePV1vymMWolfen wrote:The ITG charts lack turning.
Have you seen or even played it?.....or you just making mindless assumptions like DBV did? Which caused the downfall of my last thread about pump pro.
Still, I'm definitely impressed with the game.
Accelerando FTW!

So basically, it's a SX with two subs and one coin door...? It seems kinda silly. One of the big things people loved about Pump (and ITG) cabinets over DDR cabinets is the larger screen. Why downgrade to a 27"? They aren't that much cheaper when you consider the cost of the entire cabinet.
A normality test:

If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

I was told there were production problems with the 33" model. Whether that's production yield, cost increases, contract situations, a combination of other things, or a result of the fucking elves and faeries out in the clouds having a battle and causing problems is up to us to decide.
I for one am referring to the smaller GX as a "GD".
They REALLY want people buying FX machines. Luckily a lot of arcade operators are looking at NX/Pro FX's seriously, especially with the HUGE screen and costing 5k less than a supernova.

It will have the body style of the GX with 2 subs, 1 coin door and probably the current marque style. But, it will have the smaller screen like in an SD/SX.
I don't think its a cost issue as much as it is a way to make the FX look even better to the market. I would think many arcade owners would see a GX (current style) and an FX, look at the costs, then decide on the GX because there really is not that much difference in quality. However, place the future version of the GX in the mix and the owners may look more seriously at the FX.
It could also be that they see how popular DDR is and it still has the same smaller screen. AM may think that cutting the corner here is a good idea.
Of course, I could go with the default reason. It is Andamiro.
EDIT: There was a problem with the 33" model being unsafe by some countries standards, which was why AM originally was going to discontinue the GX line completely and bring something new.
