Whoa whoa whoa. Hold up.

You need to relate to us the story of how you have KBM for $333.33. I can only assume you took it off some poor arcade owner's hands that made virtually no money from the machine and needed to clear up space.

Seriously, ~$350 is chump change. That's about two days work for me. Chad spent three times that amount on a thankless, bangless, funless, and Merkless Halloween party.

And let's be honest - back in the day you couldn't afford the luxury of your own personal DDR machine for less than $5000. Being able to achieve a similar experience for about a quarter of the price is gosh darn neat a fairly inexpensive when compared to the alternative. One day Riot and I will pool our money together and we will buy a Dance Dance Revolution video game cabinet. To us, a DDR cabinet is a fleeting dream, and represents the unquenchable desire of achieving happiness and purpose through material goods. The dream is elusive, and in both of our respective old ages we will reflect upon our mortality and realize the sinking feeling that because of our greed we never truly lived a fruitful existence.

Brian you are the king of getting awesome and rare shit for cheap. I am vain and I envy your life and possessions - you and indyDDR have given my life meaning.

You'd be surprised how cheap some games can be if you're patient and smart. I should note, however, that shipping KBM cost almost as much as the purchase price. Although, compared to 2008 when fuel costs were through the roof, that was also a bargain.

BTW, 2-player DDR machines sell for < $3000 these days...sometimes as little as $2000. If the only reason you wanted Solo was because it was substantially cheaper than regular, you might want to reconsider.

I see. So you got it from overseas then? From the internet? You didn't wheel and deal anyone in person?

Does anyone have a quote on how much Brandon paid for his cabinet? I'm blown away by how cheap these games are nowadays.

DDR HAIKUS BY RIOT UNDERWOOD

We stomp dull arrows
Worn and dusty, between dreams
Our tears stitch their fate

Flashing lights, bulbs burnt
Hollowed and charred, J-Pop now
muted memories

Crossovers and jumps
Delicate dance of fat kids
Twirl, friend, never stop

Sweat mixed with french fries
The musk of the battlefield
Versus mode, dance hard

Strap on your black capes,
Frolic, freestyle like angels,
Fap to cartoon girls

No. KBM was actually an eBay purchase. The only cabinets I've directly imported from overseas have been pop'n. All the rest have already been on this side of the pond.

Who knew that three years later Riot would own a DDR machine and I would own a rotting husk that is a parody of a DDR machine.
