As confirmed on Famitsu Magazine, Pop'N Music Adventure has been confirmed. One small thing though....

It's for the PSP! (Now I'm glad I bought one.) Currently it has 80 songs listed and will have 3 key, 5 key, 7 key, and 9 key modes.

Obvious question:

What's the point of Pop'N if you can't use the controller?

I've played IIDX on a PS2 controller, and it is not fun in the least. I wonder if they plan to re-chart every song to be made playable on a PSP.

Riot god dammit you're hilarious.

But seriously how would 9 key work? One side would have to be lopsided.

It could be done the same way that 5 button is done on DJ Max where the middle is assigned to the right and square buttons.

Oh, I almost forgot to say this....

PENTAVISION WILL SUE!!!

Yea, been gone for quite a while cause of outside commitments.

Brief overview:

- The engine is surprisingly fluid on this port.
- The scrolling speeds are different than PStwo/arcade due to smaller lanes and widescreen implementation so expect to use lower speed mods than in it's console/arcade counterparts.
- The timing is a little late. (Kind of surprising as it was expected to be earlier.)
- Adventure Mode (Their name for the game's mission mode) is totally f*cking tedious and over 50 songs have to be unlocked using this mode.
- All 9 button charts are unaltered, which is both good and bad. Good cause it's the legit notecharts, bad cause some chords and charts are simply going to be difficult to score on since it's a PSP.

Oh, this release has one of the highest week 1 sales for Bemani console releases since 2008 which is again, good and bad. Reason for saying bad is that this game's success may doom any chance of getting a proper release of Adventure and newer on a home (I.E. nonportable) console.
