Let's rank some 12s since the difficulty of each song is very subjective and opinions are pretty much across the board on how they're ranked compared to each other. This doesn't include stuff from Gold since I haven't played it that much.

From hardest to easiest:

1. Mei (The ending isn't as bad as some songs, but everything else is so unrelenting that I'd put this as the hardest 12)

2. Scripted Connection long

3. Scorpion Fire

4. One More Lovely

5. AA / Nageki No Ki (They're both about equal in terms of clearing)

8. Rage Against Usual

12. Colors (It all depends on the death roll, bad random = no clear)

12s > me. How do you feel the CS exclusives fit in the mix? Go Beyond! (a), quell (a)...some scary stuff.

Go Beyond, despite having by far the hardest pattern in any IIDX song, is actually not that hard to clear due to its pretty tame ending. I'd put it right under V in terms of clearing ability.

Quell on the other hand is balls hard throughout the whole song and its ending is pretty ridiculous. I'd put it under Rage Against Usual.

Drunk Monkey isn't too bad with a good random but it's pretty relentless the whole song. It's hard to time and the constant chord action trips up the fingers. I'd say that it's under Please Don't Go with a good random.

Solid State Squad is probably the easiest of the DD CS exclusives to clear but that by no means makes it easy. It has more than 1800 notes making it roughly on par with AA in terms of note count although SSS is significantly longer than AA. The chart itself retains the same difficulty throughout with only a minor increase in difficult towards the end. I've gotten a 72% on this song before and I usually finish somewhere in the upper 60%. I'd say its on par with Go Beyond. The timing isn't too bad either, its already been AAA'd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia6FKSQI4p4

Personally I have to believe that Scripted Connection Long Mix is harder than Mei due to being a much worse stamina killer. There is also the fact that unlike all other songs Random and Mirror cannot be used with that song as it's only accessible in Class Mode.

I will never pass another 12 again. Never, it's too hard, I've hit a wall that I've been trying to overcome since like last October.

The closest ones I can almost pass consistently now are Moon_Child, One or Eight, Innocent Walls [a], Please Don't Go, Sense 2007 [7], and probably some others I'm forgetting. I can never clear 'em, but I can usually get somewhat close.

Gonna go out on a limb here and say that "A" is the easiest 12 since really only about half the song has any sort of challenge and the ending isn't a giant "fuck you"

Remember when this game only had thirty 12s? It feels like in every new release half the songs are god damn 12s like we're playing 14key or some shit

Maybe they'll pull a DDR and revamp the rating system and if they do I sure as fuck don't wanna be the guy that has to go through every single chart and be like "Hmmmmm this one here is a 59 and uhhhhh let's say Mei is a 93 so we have room to grow"

They could just pull a Pump It Up and keep raising the highest difficulty level as needed. Dignity is a 22 and is the hardest thing on the game? Nah, now we have a 23. Not hard enough for you? How about a 24? Maybe a 25. How about a 26?
