Anyone know how to unlock them in the Arcade?

Hidden Songs
* ALL RIGHT / RAM
* CELEBRATE NITE / N.M.R
* dissolve / kobo
* HYPER BOUNDARY GATE / L.E.D.LIGHT
* Hormiga obrera / Shawn The Horny Master
* 合体せよ!ストロングイェーガー!! / L.E.D. (Strong Jaegar)
Personally I don't think you are really missing anything major league when it comes to hidden songs. (Espically since Strong Jaegar never receive an another notechart in the arcade releases whereas one was made just for 8th Style CS)
Something that I dislike about IIDX is that the full songlist doesn't appear in arcade mode until the 3rd stage. (Which is usually the final song by default.) The only way to access the full songlist for all stages is to use Free Mode.
As for unlocking the hidden songs, I have been unable to find any information on this yet. Hopefully when I am able to get a proper translation of the BemaniWiki it should have all the info for that.

OK then, no discernible lag. Happy? All displays will lag a few nanoseconds just due to the cables (1ns is about a foot of cable).

If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

42"? What is this fascination (Maxx) with using ludriciously large monitors? The current AC spec is 34" and the old spec used just a 40" display. (Which Konami even admitted was overkill.)
As for lag, everything prior to 9th style was displayed with a rear projected display in mind so there shouldn't be any visible lag with any halfway decent display.

40" displays really only existed in Japan. 42" is the standard in the USA in that range, and remember this is an old cabinet. The display isn't right up at the front of the display area either, due to how it's mounted, so it's a good 6-8 inches further back, bringing the field of view to approximately what you'd expect from the original 40" or possibly even a little smaller.
The projection isn't what creates the lag (old-school CRT projectors ran 480i natively with no latency at all), it's the scalers and deinterlacers. This display seems to have a very good deinterlacer, and it's a 480p display, so no scaling.

Having it back a bit does correct things a bit. As for the display, I brought up the rear projected displays they used in the old machines cause from what I read they actually had more lag than most modern LCD and Plasma displays and that the timing in the games was adjusted to compensate for the lag. (I have to believe that this has some truth to it as when I played 4th style AC at Ho's House I saw no noticible timing lag.)MonMotha wrote:40" displays really only existed in Japan. 42" is the standard in the USA in that range, and remember this is an old cabinet.
