Externally powered Playstation to Parallel Adapter
Ok, I figure since I'm really looking into a way to design this decently I should mention it on here. Something that I will mention is that the best response that I've seen on adapters is quite simply a parallel adapter due in part to the fact that USB adapters are very poorly designed. (One is that as a result of it's default of mapping to axis, it actually makes life miserable when multiple scratches has to be done on Lunatic Rave, another is that they lag unless the polling rate is changed which is outright unacceptable.) However, IIDX KOCs draw more power than a standard controller and standard parallel adapters don't give it enough power to work. With this in mind, I want to come up with a non-ghetto designed adapter that will be able to draw enough power for this task. One possible design is to have it use power from a USB port or an adapter that could do this. The issue though is that I don't know how the wiring design would really work on USB or if there would be a better way to power to the controller so any help would be appreciated.
