Actually I bought it off of eBay in an auction I'm still bitter about.

The guy said I owed $1 more than what it should have been, he didn't respond to any of my emails, so I said screw it and paid anyway. I received the marquee in the mail and left neutral feedback for him (fast shipping and product as promised, slight overcharge and zero communication) thinking that was fair.

A few days later he left me negative feedback citing that I never communicated with him. I sent him messages asking him what the hell he was talking about. I got no response, persisted, then my emails started bouncing (I presume he blocked me).

And that's the story if me getting the marquee.

Retaliatory negative feedback like you describe is the reason eBay no longer allows sellers to leave anything except positive feedback. Too bad they couldn't find some middle ground between "screw everybody over with impunity" and "you can't say anything bad about a buyer unless you put it in the comments of positive feedback that nobody ever reads".

Once I heard of that new policy I remembered what happened with the marquee and immediately understood the reasoning behind it. It's really too bad for the honest sellers.

I was once screwed out of $150 as a seller (received money via PayPal, sent item, buyer retracted payment), so I definitely understand the need for feedback from sellers too. Though unfortunately for that time I had already left him positive feedback once I got the money in PayPal... at the time I didn't know you could retract money on a whim.

Anyway I now refuse to use eBay or PayPal, so whatever...

I don't know who any of those people are but I feel like I've seen the guy on the right somewhere before. Does anyone have the Bloomington equivalent of this picture? The one with young Kyrer, Chad, and some other dude.

I only modded one post. PHPBB put the Quote and Edit buttons next to each other, and your post had a quote so I figured I had clicked quote.

Basically I'm retarded.

I feel like I've seen that photo before.

The similarities are frightening, except at least the Purdue one has a gurl.

Guess we're using different themes? My quote and edit buttons are kind of hard to mix up.

There is a small minority of people here who insist on using the subsilver2 style made to look like phpBB2.

I figured as much, but I also figured that said minority would have enough shame to not point out their guilt in public.

Has nobody else ever clicked an unintended button in their life?

(This is a euphemism.)
