Didn't want to triple post, but I am revisiting the topic of Infinitas as I am considering playing for a month to see how it is. (Using the payment system stateside is a bit convoluted, but doable.) All old songs are unlockable using the bits system (based on the type of clear you get bits which add up to unlocking more songs) so that addresses my concerns with the time based availability. I just hope that the game does get some consistent support and they do expand it to be more widely accessible as that would allow for them to make more money.
Also, 3y3s long version....

Re: IIDX Infinitas
New Update for IIDX Infinitas came out with two exclusive songs for the month (Himiko and R5) and eight new unlockable songs. Also, Class Mode was introduced (yay!), but much like Championship Mode it requires the purchase of an Infinitas Ticket to access that mode (boo!) but then again it may be tied to the bits system so I'll check it when I get home.
Overall, 160 songs are in the game now including 3y3s long version which is good amount, but currently 12 songs are championship mode exclusive and 6 are monthly exclusive. (Hopefully they'll release them in the future as general unlocks, but who knows.)

Re: IIDX Infinitas
December Update:
- All 4 songs from the first Championship mode event (5th KAC qualifier) are apparently unlocked by subscribing this month. (2nd event songs will be unlocked next month and 3rd event songs the month after.)
- Apparently more songs will be made available. (I'll update this post with whatever they are.)
Overall, this release has a large song selection, but the bit unlock system is too unforgiving. On the upside, it encourages improving scores due to the replay missions.

Re: IIDX Infinitas
I mean, holy shit, I was reading the RemyWiki entry for Infinitas (https://remywiki.com/CS_INFINITAS) and I'm like, "Holy shit, how can anyone in Nippon play this?"
All this shit seems so unnecessarily complicated and shitty and anyone in Nippon can spend 5 minutes to literally just walk to their nearest subway station, get molested by a Salaryman, and get to the Game Center and play the latest version of Beet instead of some gimped pay-to-play bullshit. Why yes I would LOVE to pay real ass money to play Dan mode on a game I already own. Can companies just NOT release a $60 fucking game anymore? It makes no sense to me to have a game that functionally acts like an arcade game where you pay-per-play in your own home.
God, CS Beet on the PS2 was good times and it's a shame that it had to end. It would have been great if they made the new controllers for PS4/PC and made home versions of arcade releases but nooooOOoooOoOOOooOOooOOoooooo they had to make some weird ass monthly revenue stream from some lazy ass software for a game that is 7 fucking releases behind.
Thank God for Omnimix.

Re: IIDX Infinitas
Yea, the main reason why I've been playing on Infinitas is for live streaming purposes. I get that they want to do something that can be constantly updated and I'm glad they are adding Resort Anthem songs now, but you nailed it on the head about them being lazy. (The theme is very generic and song select music is easily the worst in the series.) Also, I should let you know that in a supremely WTF level move, Konami actually did a separate KAC event for Infinitas and the qualifier was the first Championship Mode event.Merk wrote:I mean, holy shit, I was reading the RemyWiki entry for Infinitas (https://remywiki.com/CS_INFINITAS) and I'm like, "Holy shit, how can anyone in Nippon play this?"

TL;DR version. F*ck Konami for this game not being as good as it could be.

Re: IIDX Infinitas
December Update just got pushed out with these songs:
Freely available if subscribed in December:
V2
Saber Wing
Unlockable songs:
対象楽曲
BRILLIANT 2U
LOVE IS ORANGE
鬼言集 (Surprising to see this as it was removed back in Lincle)
MAX LOVE
Hardcore Mania (Also surprising due to it's removal in Pendual)
Survival Games
Also, song ids from the 1 GB update have been obtained and these are the potential future songs:
Tangerine Stream
DoLL
Bloody Tears (IIDX EDITION)
NEW GENERATION -もう、お前しか見えない-
Fly Above
Paradise Lost
おおきなこえで
Wuv U
Konami appears to be serious about making this its own entity and keeping it independent of the arcade releases which gives me mixed feelings. I do think that for somebody like Merk though Infinitas won't be worthwhile until next year as it should surpass 250 songs by that point.

Re: IIDX Infinitas
The update apparently is happening today and all the songs listed as potential future songs were indeed 100% correct. The monthly exclusive songs are Bloody Tears and PARADISE LOST. Also, the four songs from the second championship mode should be available this month for free.

Re: IIDX Infinitas
The state of Infinitas in 2019.
- As of February, it has 495 songs. (Disclaimer, in order to have all of them a person would need to have had a regular subscription since January 2017, played the most recent championship mode event, and purchased all four song packs which encompass Lincle and 2/3rds of Tricoro.) (Edit: This was made obsolete due to Konmai.)
- Screen customizations are available but must be unlocked with bits. There are no customizations for song select music though.
- Unlocking everything in the game takes an insanely long time.
- Songs from artists represented by JASRAC have a very low likelihood of ever appearing in the game. (The list includes TaQ, Keiichi Ueno, Osamu Kubota, Prastik Dancefloor, and Remo-con.)
February 19th Edit: a fifth songpack encompassing the rest of Tricoro and five classic songs has been released making the overall count 525 songs. Also, one of the songs is from TaQ so this may be how they handle the JASRAC situation.
