I've had a number of people ask me if there was going to be a DDR-A-Thon this year. The answer is, "yes, we intend to." The committee has met, discussed options, and has been putting together preliminary plans for DDR-A-Thon to return to Indianapolis this year. Indianapolis was the site of the first DDR-A-Thon as well as home base for Riley Hospital.

Pending mall approval, DDR-A-Thon 9 will be held Friday-Saturday, May 27-28 at Circle Centre Mall in downtown Indianapolis, hosted by Tilt Studio (formerly GameWorks Studio). Please note that this is currently a tentative date and we will be sure to announce when we have confirmation or if the date needs to be changed for some reason.

Until then, we just wanted to get the word out that plans are in the works and to give you an opportunity to mark your calendars (if only in pencil) so you won't miss out!

If anyone has any ideas for what they would like to see or not see at DDR-A-Thon this year feel free to express yourself and we can take your idea into consideration or laugh at you, whichever you prefer. Odds are we have discussed your idea already, but you can always "find a diamond in the rough" as they say.

Also questions, comments, et cetera are welcome. Some things are planned, some things aren't, it's all a matter of if we get our tentative date confirmed by Circle Center. Like Ho said we'll have more details for you as we know them.

I'm kind of surprised that we are going back to Indy for this one, but hopefully it should still be good.

I don't know how much is planned, but are we going to make use of the stage area for some games or are we just going to be out by the DDR cabinets?

Might not be able to come since that is when we're closing on our house, but we'll see I guess!

The event is planned to be out in the mall concourse area, not inside Tilt itself. So it will be like it has been at College Mall the last few years (or at Washington Square Mall the first year, if you were around to remember it) only at Circle Centre Mall instead. We're hoping the higher traffic levels of Circle Centre and the holiday weekend will lead to bigger fundraising totals for Riley Hospital. We're out to set some new records!

Damn, I'll be out of town that weekend. You guys have fun without me.

Barring clinical or class, I will try to be there.

I know I have clinical starting sometime in May on Wednesday/Friday? but they're horrible about giving us start dates/times/etc. Worst case, I'll manage to be there on Saturday I think.

Obviously I'll be there but one of my good buddies is getting married on Sunday in Ft. Wayne sooooo we'll just have to party hard on Friday and Saturday.
