The "thank you Brian Ho" thread

Post by Merk » Tue Nov 22, 2011 12:53 pm

I just personally wanted to say how appreciative I am of Brian Ho for all of the work and free time he puts into this project. This also goes to all the mods and and Brandon who I understand was a big help in doing all that nerdy computer coding stuff that would give the normal human migraines.

So I invite all those to show their gratitude in this thread. Thank you so much to everyone who makes IndyDDR possible and I'm excited to see where we can go from here!

I wish I could believe Merk was sincere.

FWIW, you're welcome.

Don't get me wrong, sure I am doing a witty copy/paste from http://www.indyddr.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=43 but that shouldn't make my sentiments any less sincere. I do appreciate you paying whatever you pay to AtomX for hosting this site so I have a distraction from work and an outlet to vent my frustrations with the world and hobnob with you guys.

Besides, that thread needs a revival for the new "Merk era" of indyDDR.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank MonMotha for updating the GF/DM drivers so that the harder stuff in these games is now playable.

Thank you.

MonMotha is my go to guy when it comes to anything technical related to arcade machines, programming, or Linux. I have go to guys for many things and they all make me happy. One of these days I hope to be a go to guy for someone else.

You're my go to guy for self-deprecation.

Brian I saw that you sent Lightbound an e-mail last week about an error in your company's tape drive. I am sorry that I was not working that day so I could have personally resolved your issue. I am serious as fuck when it comes to tapes.

I am glad that power cycling that mofo (twice) fixed things though!

It only got power cycled once. The second time around we just replaced the tape. I'm taking bets on whether that tape will cause errors again the next time it comes up in sequence. If it does, it will be summarily beaten, burned, and buried.
