I believe it's MonMotha's turn to pick a song this week. I guess we can play single so we don't explicitly exclude Merk from the contest he has implicitly excluded himself from.

Since Merk isn't playing, I say we're going to play double. How about Synchronized Love (Red Monster Hyper Mix)?

Fine with me. Looking back at the chart, Merk and I did this song already...but he never logged a score. :P

Alrighty, I've compiled a list of songs I need to play and I'll start plugging away at them! Edited the OP with my Tsugaru score!

For whatever reason, I cannot seem to full combo Synchronized Love. Best is 732.

Played a bit on Sunday to knock out some scores and get some Fitbit steps in on an otherwise lazy weekend

true... (Trance Sunrise Mix): 575 / 600 (25)
Still In My Heart (Momo): 691 / 718 (27)
Maximum Overdrive: 490 / 504 (14)
Do You Remember Me?: 772 / 792 (20)

OP has been updated!

I obviously have some catching up to do but do you guys want to get some more stuff from Extreme up on the docket?

Pick something. I'll see if I can tear myself away from Pokemon GO long enough to actually play it. :P

Alright let's do Kakumei heavy! That seems like it would be a good chart!

Well, it's a technically complex chart, at least...

I'm actually kind of craving some DDR right now. I think it's been 2-3 weeks since I've played. But my body is wrecked from walking and hiking all over the place catching pokeymans almost every day. I don't think I'll have major stamina issues like I normally would after taking a break from DDR for weeks (because I've at least been active in the meantime), but everything is sore and I have a feeling my body is going to protest to the rigors of DDR. BUT I WILL GIVE IT A TRY ANYWAY!

I finally tore myself away from Pokemon Go long enough to play some DDR.

In case anyone was wondering (and you really shouldn't have been), walking around Pokemon does not translate into stamina for DDR at all. I think it's been about a month since I've played DDR and I got winded pretty fast. Though I imagine helping WhiteDragon move yesterday was probably not helpful to my cause either.

At any rate, I logged scores for Synchronized Love and Kakumei.

I didn't have any trouble comboing Synchronized Love. I did so on my first attempt, but the aforementioned windedness had me behind the beat and then rushing to catch up and I ended up with a staggering 72 greats. But I tried again later in the session and actually beat my score in SoS from two years ago with 37 greats for a DP of 733. I was pretty happy with that.

For Kakumei, the same thing happened. My first attempt was absolute garbage with 114 greats and a mess of non-combo steps. I even dropped one of the two freezes at the end. Trying again later, I got the great count under 100 (still garbage, I know) and fewer non-combos. I ended up with a DP of 626. Definitely could use some improvement there. MonMotha is right that it's a fairly complex chart. It seemed more stamina busting to me than Synchronized Love, but it could be that I'm just more familiar with the latter which tends to make play a little easier.

Anyway, I'd like to pick the song for this week. How about Ordinary World. I went ahead and played it: 19 greats, 567 DP

I am ridiculously out of shape, and Kakumei is killing me. Best I've been able to pull off is 620.

I did reasonably well on Ordinary World after I cranked it up to 2x. Best is 18g for 568.
