not to be a bitch but this is incorrect.MonMotha wrote:They changed hardware for SuperNova, so that's not surprising at all. The way they do it in Japan right now is using magnetic cards (similar to the ones used for Initial D).
they use the magnetic cards for ratings, unlocking new songs, and keeping their own scores; edits are still done using PS1 memory cards.
I was referring to other Bemani games, not DDR SuperNova as that wasn't out when I was over there. The only other games I'm aware of that supported the old memory card hardware was Guitar Freaks (and maybe DrumMania), and I don't believe it had edit functionality. I guess I should have been clearer.
A normality test:

If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

The link system is supposed to use PS2 memory cards for Supernova. However, there are currently no machines that I know of that use this capability quite yet. From what I've seen and heard it's gonna be alot like the Link Data for Extreme where 5th Mix created the link data to take to the arcade.
