I just happened across this on Yahoo! Auctions Japan. It's the best look I've ever gotten at one of the DDR Arcade Style Controllers that Konami produced in limited numbers several years ago.

This particular one in the auction looks hardly used at all. It also seems to be even fancier that I had assumed it to be. My understanding was that these were based on the Solo stage design, but the pictures show it as having backlit panels--which Solo stages do not have.

Bidding started at 90,000 Yen (~$900), which isn't bad considering I think these things sold for around 200,000 Yen originally. Of course it would probably cost you about that much to ship the darn thing here.

Very rarely do sellers on YAJ ship internationally. Fortunately, there are several deputy services that will happily bid on things for you, pay the person in Yen, receive the item in Japan, then ship it to you in the USA...for a price, of course.

Back in the days when I used to play DDR like there was no tomorrow, I might have considered buying that.

But now is now, and I don't see that happening.

BUT... if anyone seriously does want to purchase it, I'd be up for letting them ship it to my place, then I'd ship it to the US. For a small price, of course.
