Re: Welp, I bought a cabinet
The following is a list of all the motherfuckers in Indiana that own a DDR cabinet:
Ho
MonMotha
Chad
Riot
TaQa
Merk
Adrian
That's 7 god damn people. Can any other state claim to have that many private owners? Texas / California, maybe, but certainly not in the Midwest.
Hell, as far as people that post on this messageboard go, I would say that DDR cabinet owners number more than non-owners at this point. People that don't own a machine:
Tim
Potter
Amp
SDP (technically not Indiana lolololol)
And yeah, I think that's it!

I don't know if I would technically count Beet. I mean, if you're gonna count Beet you might as well count Pac-Man!
Re: Welp, I bought a cabinet
I wasn't really counting it. You did say DDR specifically. I was just commenting.
But it is true that he rarely posts here. I'm not sure if I'd count him as an active member.

I think Tim has got some good things going for him. I'm not sure what his life aspirations are but he slings cookies and he doesn't seem unhappy.

Re: Welp, I bought a cabinet
Yea, I would love to have an arcade cabinet, but there's this problem called I am in college until December and I am poor. If people want to help fix this so I finally can own one I am listening.
Memorable 2016 quotes:

I certainly wasn't suggesting otherwise. I was just saying that he rarely posts here, so I wouldn't call him an active member.Merk wrote:I think Tim has got some good things going for him. I'm not sure what his life aspirations are but he slings cookies and he doesn't seem unhappy.

Ho I think you're a good guy and you have some good things going for you! You have achieved your life's aspirations. You sling system administration and overall seem pretty happy.

A normality test:
+++ATH
If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

Re: Welp, I bought a cabinet
Machine is coming in today!
And it turns out that the ultimate cost of shipping was less than what I was quoted! I walked to the little bank and got a little cashier's check of $426.14 which is a new two hundo less than what I was quoted. Hope nothing got fucked up in shipping and that the seller didn't screw me!

Re: Welp, I bought a cabinet
Yuuuuuuuup could have tucked into this and saved like $400
Re: Welp, I bought a cabinet
Cool.
It looks like I made a pretty good guess at $400-500. I thought your original quote was a bit high, but I wasn't sure about fuel prices or the dimensions you gave her--either of which could affect the price by a wide margin. For instance, I got a quote for a Daytona Twin that was about $1200 fully assembled. Split into 3 pieces (each half and the marquee box) brought it down to around $600 (I don't recall the exact price anymore).
How was the machine shipped (in what state of disassembly)? Were you able to get the seller to break it down per my suggestions? Take a picture of it when it arrives (before unpacking). I'd like to see it. Oddly enough, while I've shipped many things this way, a DDR machine is not one of them.
