Re: DAVE&BUSTERS
I'm not sure what the US X2 is that you're talking about. I've never known any X2 in the Indy area. Only X(1) at Tilt, and that has been gone for a while now.
If you're talking about the machine still at Tilt, that's SN2, not X2. And, as far as I know, it's been non-operable for at least a year.
There is also a SuperNOVA at Walmart on N Keystone:

(2P down arrow wasn't working when we were there last week.)
And a Pump NX at GreaTimes. (not sure if that was one of the Pump machines you were counting)

Re: DAVE&BUSTERS
There is (or was) an X2 at Incrediplex in Lawrence. Not like it matters if it's still there, a soft pad is better to play on than either X cab.
Tilt had 2 Pump machines (NX and Exceed, in SD cabs for some reason) last I was there.
Interesting to hear about the SN1. I'll have to go check it out sometime. Maybe when I go check out Main Event.

Re: DAVE&BUSTERS
Shaffer maintains a number of games at various facilities. They're what passes for a route operator, these days. It's possible that they re-deployed that ITG2 (or will, it's probably sitting in one of their facilities awaiting "refurbishing"), but they don't seem to be placing dance games, anymore, so I'd imagine they'd sell it off or scrap it.
A normality test:

If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

Re: DAVE&BUSTERS
GMSRocks104 inquired with Shaffer about the ITG2. It was sold and was apparently the last dance game in their inventory.
Namco also has routes in the area. The SuperNOVA at the Walmart on N Keystone is theirs.

Had some good times on that machine. BigBadOrc and BlackKat(I think was her name too lazy to check deal with it) would rollerblade down there after work, play for a bit, then rollerblade home. It was like a dweebier version of Hackers.
Re: DAVE&BUSTERS
But did anyone ever play in rollerblades? This sounds like a terrible idea. I would be simultaneously horrified and impressed. Well, I guess I'd only be impressed if someone managed be halfway decent. I'd be horrified regardless.

I'd be impressed if they didn't break anything.

I remember the Matrix Walk and I remember when Jon Mittendorf did that shit back in the day during the pause in Ectasy and shit
Man, remember when freestyling was a thing that a ton of people did?

I walked in today and the game floor seems really sparse again. (Not that it matters because D&B isn't ordering more DDR A machines for the time being.)

Sadly, there is a part of me that thinks the Indianapolis D&B may end up closing its doors for good in the next couple of years unless the parent company does a ton of work to reinvigorate that location. There is also a part of me that thinks the parent company is stubborn enough about hanging on as long as possible.

Re: DAVE&BUSTERS
Has anyone been here recently to check out the game floor? (Or the parking lot, for that matter...)
Re: DAVE&BUSTERS
I drive by it a lot...and keep on driving.
Swarm (Foursquare) tells me that the last time I was there was November 22. I wouldn't even remember it if I hadn't have checked in. Thinking about it, I wouldn't say that experience was bad, but it definitely wasn't good either. Food was fine. Games were meh. And I remember that the only game I really kind of wanted to try, Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots, was broken. I played some other games and they were whatever. Nothing I would have gone there to play, just stuff I played since I was already there.
My last check-in before that was May of 2015! So yeah, I stopped being any sort of regular a long time ago.
