I have reorganized and expanded the categories and forums to include specific coverage of Pump It Up, In the Groove, beatmania, pop'n music, and Guitar Freaks/drummania/Keyboardmania. I also did some sorting to move relevant topics into appropriate new forums.
I moved the Brag Board to the community category and modified its description to specifically include bragging about other music/rhythm games as many people have already done.
There's a couple of things I'm not really satisfied with that I'd like to reconcile, so I'm going to ask for some opinions.
I'm not sure what to do with the DDR @ Home forum (formerly Home in the Dance Dance Revolution category). By the new organization, it could simply be rolled into the DDR forum. I'm not against doing that, but I wonder if it's more valuable or easier for it to stay separate. However, I do not really want to split the rest of the specific games into home and arcade forums. There just isn't enough discussion in them (yet).
I'm also not sure to do with the Locations forum. A lot of the topics in Locations have to do with specific games or eventually become about a specific game. However, there are some that are more general about the locations themselves (machine conditions, pricing, etc.) as was the original intent of that forum. I'm not sure of the value of keeping this forum, but I'm also not sure how to refile some of the topics there if I get rid of it.

Any comments about DDR @ Home and Locations (see my previous post for details)?
Unless there are strong objections, my current plan is to go ahead with rolling DDR @ Home into the main Dance Dance Revolution forum.
As for Locations, I'm still at a loss about what to do with it. Suggestions would be appreciated. A decision need to be made about whether to leave it alone, change it somehow, or simply get rid of it. If the last option is the consensus, then we need to figure out how to refile the posts that forum contains.

Locations I think should stay, but a locked stickied thread at the top could be used for a list that has every machine in indiana and the price of it (and token deals). Yes DDRfreak has it but it'd be cooler here. To make locations more organized, it's threads could be limited to certain areas. like PP of fort wayne or X-site threads.

Actually, this reminds me that the original intent was to revive the Locations section that existed in a previous life of this site. Each location was to have its own discussion area as a part of its listing, thus eliminating the need for the Locations forum. However, when that didn't happen right away I put the Locations forum in to help take up the slack.
Ultimately, the reason the location information died was because it was being maintained entirely manually and not in any really organized fashion. I want to have it so that people can contribute to it, include some sort of a verification process, and then have the changes made automatically.
So maybe what we need to do is to just let the Locations forum live as is for the time being until something can be created to take its place.

I suggest we start a final thread to collect all the information that you need to make an announcement/sticky. After that, I think that you could post that at the top of the Gettin' Together forum and get rid of locations. Some of the posts in locations are actually gettin together worthy, so they could be moved, and if no replies - deleted.
