If you are not a big fan of old school rap, then you probably have not heard of "Baby Got Back." But, it is a classic. lol.
Potter's version of Baby Got Back wrote:L EIK BIG BOTTOSM AND I CANNOT SEEM TO LIE
ALL YOUR RELITIVES OF THE MALE NATURE SEEM TO NOT BE ABLE TO DENY
Actual lyrics wrote:I like big butts and I cannot lie
You other brothers can't deny...

I have also never learned how to ride a bicycle, make a spitball or play the harmonica. I can, however, remember the cubic formula on command. I can't remember *what* I was doing during the 80s (for the most part), but judging by the aforementioned collection of facts it can't have been anything benevolent.Potter wrote:i cant believe youve never gahard thaz
This metaphor brought tears to my eyes (and not just because it used the word intarwebz - that brought an entirely different kind of tears to my eyes). Keep 'em coming.Potter wrote:my intarwebz have been doing the wave all day
1) I learned how to ride a bike at age 15 and people thought I was weird. So, I know what that feels like.Arka wrote:I have also never learned how to ride a bicycle, make a spitball or play the harmonica. I can, however, remember the cubic formula on command. 2) Being a math education major, the cubic formula memorization is impressive. I know the quadratic formula by heart, thanks to a clever little song.
3) I'm listening to Paul McCartney "Yesterday" - *AMAZING SONG*
2) It's not as impressive as it sounds - I have a very, very strange memory. I'm one of those people who remembers every phone number I've ever learned but forgets who they go to. X-(
At least memorizing the cubic formula is more useful than memorizing several hundred digits of pi... except for the nerd boast value, of course.
Clever little song?
3) Agreed.
FWIW, I'm listening to "Beyond This Silence." I dare any of you to tell me you've heard of that song.

It's a lot funnier if you hear it being sung.clever little quadratic formula song wrote:x equals negative b, plus or minus radical b squared, minus 4ac *clap clap* all over 2a
As for the song I'm listening to right now....hahaha, in stark contrast to the song I was listening to earlier, I am once again listening to Lady Sovereign, "Random"
This song apparently belongs to the school of mnemonics for which the only way to remember them is to memorize the things they're supposed to help you remember, *then* reconstruct the mnemonics themselves from that.clever little quadratic formula song wrote:x equals negative b, plus or minus radical b squared, minus 4ac *clap clap* all over 2a
Curse thee, FOIL, my old nemesis!
