FreQuency?
I was browsing the website for Harmonix (makers of Guitar Hero and Karaoke Revolution), and I noticed they have one more game series whose elements are called FreQuency and Amplitude.
Unfortunately, their website has absolutely no information about what these games are. I get the vague impression that they involve music, somehow, and I would extrapolate that they're like Beatmania IIDX except that there appears to be no specialized controller.
So at the risk of sounding like a complete newbie: are these music games, and if so, what kind?
Edit: almost forgot the most important question - are they any good?

Yes, very fun games, and in my opinion Amplitude is better. It seemed to fine-tune Frequency's problems. It's played with the controller (3buttons) and you have, I think, 5 tracks that you have to complete periodically.

It's really fun, me and Mexy played it when we got bored of Didder back in the day.

I really love CS:GO's 64 tick servers.

Thats better...ShammerS wrote:I love rhythm games in general, and this company is the only one to get the home version done, and done -right-.
I was about to argue... but I actually agree. Execept its not ALOT worse, just not as good.Riot wrote:Because Harmonix made Guitar Hero and Frequency. Except Guitar Hero came out like 5 years after. So Guitar Hero is like Frequency. Except a lot worse.
Frequency rocks.

Big bump here...

If you click the circle where the '1' button would be on a number pad, you can download, fo' free, some of the tracks from the games.

Chris Child has a bunch of his MP3s for download. I remembered thinking Shades of Blue was awesome.

Kickstarting another Amplitude. I'd fund this if I had a PS3/4.
