Guitar Hero World Tour trailer.....

Post by Amp Divorax »

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/34270.html

It's official, Guitar Hero 4... err... I mean World Tour is coming out this fall and....

Fuck being diplomatic about this, this is the worst videogame ad I've ever seen! (This comes from somebody who remembers the Legend of Zelda Rap, Genesis Does what Nintendon't, and THIS!!!!) Regardless of my stance on the series, this is a glorified music video with a bunch of scene whores spazzing on the Guitar and Drums controllers. No game footage, no new information aside from Are Ya Gonna Go My Way being in the game, (which was already confirmed) and it's just a total waste of time.

I still say the Mario Kart Wii commercials were worse.

And to hell with them if they think I'm going to buy another drum kit.

OK, this is getting confusing. First we had Konami's Guitar Freaks. Then, Harmonix 'borrows' the concept for Guitar Hero 1 and 2. Then, they get bought out, and Neversoft releases GH3. Not to be outdone, Harmonix expands on the concept, incorporating Drum Freaks and Karaoke Revolution, and releases Rock Band. So then, Neversoft decide to 'borrow' that idea and put it back into the Guitar Hero franchise with GH4. Meanwhile, Konami 'borrows' the concept back again with its own version of Rock Band. :?: :? :? :?:

Obviously I meant 'Drum Mania', not Drum Freaks. See, I told you I was confused

I'd beg to differ as while it did suck, atleast it showed shit from the game it was advertising.

I completely agree on that. Oh, I should mention that Harmonix was bought out by MTV while Red Octane (who released the first two games) got bought out by Activision, lol and Rock Revolution is being developed by a 3rd party company and licensed by Konami!

Not to mention that Karaoke Revolution was a Konami product, but was actually developed by Harmonix. My head is starting to ache...

I think the Japanese Bemani players would consider it very f*cked up to say the least.

I don't think the Japanese Bemani players would consider it at all.

Fixed.
And I'm not sure, but I thought Rock Revolution would be similar to RB and have multiple instruments, no?
