I have officially turned in notice that I am quitting the Great X Scape, I have landed a job at Cook Medical (a factory that makes medical supplies on the other side of town, full time, benefits and all that fun stuff, you know a regular people job). Sorry B-towners looks like I won't be there to sneak you onto Joint Premium or give free tokens to you guys. I am still going to be somewhat affiliated with the arcade, Daniel wants me to stick around as an event planner and all so at least for a while I will still have the ability to run tourneys and the like. My last day is still unknown cause I am going to wait for him to find someone to replace me.

Edit: Ok so Tuesday is my last day apparently.... :(

So, a proposition for those 6 of us (4 of which still post semi-regularly), anyone up for finding a weekday to hang out at the GXS, I will put the dance games on 2 tokens per play and we hang out and have fun

I just can't play Supernova =( But for 2 tokens maybe. I need to get in shape again so my arteries don't turn to lard.

As posted in the Pump it Up section, Yeehaw is placing his NXA kit for a while at the Great X Scape, it is in route now, and I will post as soon as it gets here :)

It got here today after some work, it is in, it is running, it is awesome. 1$ per play, Stage Break off, max time setting. Pads serviced 3 days ago.

EDIT:

USB PORTS
Player 1 is ALWAYS the Test Stick (for those of us without Pump it Up USB sticks
Player 2 there is an extension cord that is warped around the right post on the top of the machine that is for those of us with USB sticks)

It sounds like fun and I want to play it...but I still think the marquee is ugly. :P

The game rocks, I'm especially fond of observation mode. The first thing I said to Jeremy when I saw it

"Is that the real marquee?"
"Yep!"
"It's...boring."
"Yep!"

Couple of things.....

Extension cable removed off of Pump it Up NXA, no one was really using it except me, anyways, both player 1 and 2 are configured to the test drive in the machine now.

We added 2 new games to the Neo Geo cabinet. Puzzle Money Exchanger and Bomberman added.
so the game list is now:
1945
Bust A Move
Puzzle Money Exchanger
Bomberman
(SVC Chaos and Metal Slug 5 were removed)

For those interested, GXS now has Marvel vs. Capcom 2. New control panel w/ Sanwa components on a very nice Naomi universal cabinet.

The player 2 joystick on the Neo-Geo has also been replaced and shouldn't stick, anymore.
A normality test:
+++ATH
If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

I don't know, I think there are a few people in B-Town that played fighting games, even really technical shit like MvC2. We never really talked to them because it was really just Chad, Cantrell, and myself that played Capcom fighting games with any sort of regularity. The only person who we played with outside of our little circle of friends was Steve Ballinger and holy god damn did he have a good Urien.

I kinda wonder how I would fare in 3S if Steve and I played today.

Trufax. There were a lot of folk that used to play in the union when they had MvC2. Bloomington's heart did not stop beating when Riot moved away.

But mine did.

I think the pump cab has NX1 (not that I know anything about pump), but wasn't it NXA before?
